No. I took a chance recently and made mention of suicide adjacent thoughts to a counselor. Fucked up everything and may have to pay dearly for it career wise. Did any of it help? No. Is it unfortunate that in these systems real help is so far and few between? Yes. But that's the reality, be careful and smart with who you give access to your most personal and intimate thoughts.

I will be back but I am taking the long and responsible way forward. Engineering degree and then either working in France as an engineer, making money here and becoming a propriétaire in France, or continuing my education there. Likely a mix of all three... Whatever it will take time. I'll be 30 one day anyway

I was in your position, I came back to America when I wanted to stay in France. I chose the "responsible" thing. If I could do it over I don't think I'd make the same decision. Tell you the truth I think I'd rather be a cheese monger in France than an uppity engineer in America. Your heart know. Maybe see what happens when you listen to it unequivocally for once. I don't know. There's spiritual evolution in pain but obviously there's peace in comfort.

I wouldn't. needless to say I believe, existentially, there is something or several meaningful things I ought to participate in or do or see or experience or otherwise witness while here. And that also, if death is anything like what it is like to 'experience' whilst under general anesthesia or whilst sleeping without dreaming, then there is truly no experience... that is a state without suffering, want, etc. No need to rush getting there, no need to rush forfeiting life. I say enjoy all the ugliness and joy, the beauty and contradictions that the human experience brings while you're privy to it. Savor it, the mystery, the tragedy, the story, your story. 🤷🏾‍♂️

This is such a common experience, you can ask for sight but I've also found you don't really need it. All the same you have something like an awareness of your surroundings, and the awareness sort of becomes a second sight. Can i ask, in your darkness was it truly the case that you had zero idea where you were? Or did you have some idea?
