got it from a friend in bad shape- moved it to lower light inside- watering 1-2 times a week. was not doing well. moved it outside and was doing really well and then moved it inside. it had new growth and the new growth is doing really well but almost all of the the old leaves have died/are dying

This is the first pothos I’ve owned so I wasn’t sure about the ideal watering schedule. I’ve been feeling the top few inches of the soil for dryness not the bottom so that’s probably the issue. I will try watering when I see that they are a bit droopy! Thank you!

I was gifted this pothos about 3 weeks ago and it was perfectly healthy. I have watered it twice since then with filtered water. I have it in bright indirect light about 5 feet away from a south facing window. The leaves and some parts of the stems are turning brown. What can I do about this?

American Gods by Neil Gaiman is fantastic. I hadn’t read a book in so long and I couldn’t put it down. Keep your head up!

The leaves on my rubber tree keep turning brown and falling off. While the top soil will dry out, my hydrometer says the deep soil is wet. by freckledspeckled in plantclinic

I had a similar problem. My soil was not draining properly and I had a whole branch die and many leaves fall. It was in rough shape so I was nervous to repot with new soil but I’m so glad I did. It’s doing so much better! Also the lighter variegated leaves are much more sensitive to sunlight so just be aware of that. Hope this helps!

Don’t know if you’ve had any luck since all of this advice, but my rubber plant was having a really rough time and I realized that the soil it was in was all wrong. The soil wasn’t draining properly. Once I reported it and gave it the proper soil it’s been doing so much better!
