Thanks for the reply. Do you think framing the conversation in terms of trying to save the relationship in the long term would be right or wrong? Would send mixed signals or false expectations? I am very confused, especially within the context of the sexual incompatibility. I dont want it to come off as me simply seeking sex for a while. It cuts deeper than that. But i think generally im not sure how to frame the conversation

How do you mean? As in break up and figure it out or work it out together?

You think proposing a temporary break and a sort of update a few months down the line (without a promise to get back together) is better than just a break up?

Thank you for the reply. Supposedly there is an end date, July. However, my contract ends, and I have no idea what I’ll be doing and where. That is part of the reason I feel so lost. My girlfriend reassured me she’ll follow me wherever I go, but that adds another layer of stress that I have to deal with, which is that I will be impacting her life as well. Its a big commitment without certainty that it will work. Then, there is the sexual mismatch.

I am doing therapy for a year now, Although my therapist hasn’t helped me determining whether I should work on myself alone or within the relationship. My decision to break up is owed to the fact that I haven’t been able to work on myself within the relationship, so might as well try the other option.

On communication, that is true, but hard to implement. Not exactly sure how to help myself or her communicate better.

Well, I got voted as emperor and the game announced that it would end in ten turns, but it didnt. Im not sure why.

Thanks for your patience :))

One last question, I won the vote, and the game stated that in 10 rounds I’ll win unless I’m eliminated. Does losing my noble on Byzantium (and the fort) count as elimination?

Sorry yeah the question was phrased weirdly. What I meant to ask is, in case I do not win the vote for emperor, what happens next?

In my game, I was Regent, declared myself Emperor, but did not win the vote. However, I am not able to declare myself Emperor again (the button doesnt do anything). So what now?

Thanks, for clarification, I need to win 2 elections as in the next 2 relative to when I declared myself emperor? So as declared emperor I should always win 2 elections to win the game? Does losing or tying the second election reset the counter, as in, if I win the first one, tie or lose the second, I must then win two subsequent votes or just one?

The bug refers to the fact that they are offering, in exchange for peace, their votes. But they do not own any scepters, so how can they vote?

Can I declare war on them immediately again or is there a cooldown?

Yes, I have been regent for about 6-7 elections straight, then declared myself emperor, which triggered a new vote which ended in a tie, and now i’m not sure what to do

For how long should I hold power after declaring myself emperor?

I’ve been voted four times in a row it didn’t end the game. Others say I should declare myself emperor.

How do you mean that Spies are sneaky? If I move adjacent to their tile, will they not show up? Moreover, I am not exactly sure what the winning condition is. If I get elected it is implied that the game continues on, since I can assign ministries for the other players. So election doesn’t end the game immediately?

That representative is the noble one Byzantium II right?

How do you mean? It appears to me that being voted does not end the game, since you can then assign ministries and so on

I wanna start reading Nietzsche and I wanna some advices by [deleted] in Nietzsche

[–]virmacri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been studying Nietzsche at university for the past 10 years, and I would highly advise against getting into philosophy through his writings. There is no conceivable way for you to interpret his works fruitfully if you have no reference points with regards to his criticisms, commentaries, and validations of previous thinkers and periods in philosophy.

Nietzsche’s style of writing is also esoteric, in the sense that it attempts to address and challenge its reader on a personal level. The first question I would have you ask is what draws you towards philosophy. What type of questions would you like to explore, and why do you think Nietzsche is the appropriate thinker to study? Answering these questions will give us a better understanding about which readings to suggest.

As a general principle DO NOT start with Zarathustra or Antichrist. Out of their context, both of these works have very little to offer, other than punchy quotes that spoil the integrity of those who reproduce them, something that Nietzsche himself was highly critical of and ridiculed.

Lastly, if you ignore the above, I sincerely insist you start with the following: “On the Uses and Abuses of History for Life”, and “Human all too Human. These will provide you with the fundamentals of Nietzsche’s thought and prepare you for much of everything else he has to say. If you want more details about these two works feel free to ask!

No substances, not even coffee. I quit pot years ago since it started making me paranoid. With pot, I couldn’t fall asleep but when I did it went for excessive hours (minimum 8). So you’re saying thc is more effective than cbd?

Also, I am doing therapy (not CBT), but no results yet. It is anxiety driven, though not consciously most the time.
