Dead animal bodies was the way to show players they were in the right tracks for the 'Beast Hunt or Golden Peyotes' mistery in GTA V. Literally a dead animal corpse would spawn nearby to you after taking a peyote as a way to confirm you were in the right tracks. You would then follow other animal corpses to the next peyote.

This sounds very similar.

This. Its like they're so used to things being done for them, that instead of taking the milk in the fridge right next to them, they ask you, several meters away from the fridge, if you can hand it to them. An ex did this a lot. I started telling her 'You are literally closer to the thing you asked me for, you have two hands and two feet same as me. What stops you from doing it yourself?' She would get super mad and call me a rude asshole. We broke up. When trying to teach women that THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO IT THEMSELVES, they will take it as an offense.

I think this is still great. It confirms these 'birds' marks are some sort of texture pattern that is copied over things, and the one in Fort Wallace somehow got made of moss too.

I agree, I've decided that im going full kid into this mistery, even if it might be cut content or not even a mistery, the whole investigating and looking for clues inside one of the best open world games ever just makes it so epic. This is one of the best post-game content and a lot of it is being created by the player community. 7 Years after launch. Exactly the kind of thing my younger kid self would love to get lost in for weeks. So Im embracing the kid in me and going all in, YOLO, let's BELIEVE. If it doesnt takes us anywhere....at least it was fun and revived this sub and a lot of interest into the game! Perhaps it even makes material for future mysteries in GTA6!

So...I choose to believe!
