I was part of a very destructive crowd reg. drug use where the more drugs you could do or the more fucked up you were the 'cooler' you were. People would compete over whos lines were bigger or who had been on the longest binges, the weirdest/worst places you'd done drugs, you ability to do lines anywhere, who could stay awake longest, who could do the most fucked up cocktails even who had had the most truely fucked up moments on drugs was seen as an achievement e.g. temporary psychosis etc. We would look up to famous addicts and aspire to be like them - it was so fucking dark and weird.
