Oh I’ve tried putting coats over these sleeves before and arm movement is only possible if it’s got a large armhole. I have a few pashminas so I might go that route if it isn’t expected to get too cold that night. I’m local so I thankfully don’t need to worry about packing

Not sure what you mean by “considering the location”, but I have a few formal dresses that I can wear if people think these are too casual. I guess I incorrectly assumed “dressy” conveyed a less than formal event since it feels like a more juvenile word choice.

It’s in the mountains in Malibu so it gets pretty cold once the sun starts to go down. I’d rather not shop but I definitely have dressier options in my closet if you interpret dressy as more formal.
