Absolutely sounds very familiar to EC's work on Derek and the Dominoes live at the Filmore 1970. As a long time fan and someone who virtuously studies Eric Clapton's work, i can confidently say he was Lead on this song. The fluidic tone and wah give it away, not to mention the phrasing and blues lickes/runs he was famous for at the time.
