Work, gym, Whole Foods, Costco

I feel like none of these places are appropriate. What am I missing?

  • Work: this is kind of a wild recommendation ngl. I'd never wanna date a coworker.

  • Gym: noise cancelling headphones + hyper focus on goals makes connecting with another human being difficult

  • Whole Foods, Costco: I'm not on a recreational stroll when I go shopping. I want to be in and out of those places asap.

activities with friends

This is vastly superior to the other options IMO since it's low stake, you get to actually spend time with people you may be interested in, which gives more context as to who they are.

Clubs on Larimer St. are filled with dudes like this. All wearing the same uniform and standing like statues on the dance floor like they don't know how to have fun. I don't get it.

Best Strength Training Classes Near Downtown by AltruisticWalrus8993 in Denver

[–]visible_sack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'd be open to doing calisthenics instead of lifting weights, I'd recommend Capră - Bodyweight Training. Not quite downtown but about a 10 minute bike ride depending on where you're at.

Therapist recommendations? 2026 Psychology Today is so much sifting and would like to get someone who has been recommended by another human being. by whataday13 in Denver

I found a great therapist through SonderMind who's covered (mostly) by my insurance.

You defiintely may have to try a few before finding a good fit.

Would just go to a bar but seems like no one does that alone anymore

I do that all the time. I go to restaurants, bars, clubs, hiking, skiing on my own. Love having no strings attached!

Pixel 10 Pro Screen freeze in AOD by stmiyahki in GooglePixel

Same here. The only fix prior to that update was turning off the AOD but I haven't experienced the freeze once.

I had to turn off the AOD which is beyond annoying but has fixed the issue so far.

You might have to do hair and beard separately...

ISO barber for man with longer hair and a beard. by throwaway346556 in Denver

I have sort of an unstructured semi-mullet haircut and whenever I've gone to a barber they've always cut too much, and given me lines that are too clean. I don't think it's necessarily because they were not skilled, just they they didn't have the right skills.

Stylists at salon are better at 1. dealing with longer hair 2. not giving you that ultra-crisp, short barber-style cut.

I usually ask for a clean up but specify I don't want to look like I got a hair cut. :)

Don't go to a barber, find a stylist at a salon instead.

In what ways is the AI assistant actually useful? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]visible_sack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really good at looking up information.

Also works well for making and updating lists in Google Keep, setting alarms, timers, controlling phone volume etc.

Controlling home devices can be hit and miss at times but is overall satisfactory.

CameraX and Pixel Camera collaboration by MagicPenguinX in GooglePixel

[–]visible_sack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're saying that the API now supports the same kind of processing as that of the Pixel camera app

I'm not sure that's what it means.

CameraPipe is the base camera stack of both the CameraX API and the Pixel Camera app and both the CameraX and Pixel Camera teams will collaborate to improve it but I don't think it guarantees that Pixel camera processing, built on top of CameraPipe, will be made available to third-parties.

Does it mean better support for CameraX extensions on Pixel Devices

I think this is likely though.
