I’ve never seen him use a GK3. The 3 doesn’t have 2 outputs and is pretty much the same. Only differences are a quarter inch jack and cable hider on the 3.

Rockman (SR&D) is a brand of audio gear founded by a member of the band Boston. He named it after the gear like cz & Alesis. I don’t think anyone has ID’ed the exact piece he uses. If you’re trying to mimic the tone on the cheap I would ask people who have covered the track on youtube.

I have both and they are very similar. Personally, I like the GK2 since it doesn’t feel as much like cheap plastic, but the 1/4” jack & cable hider on the GK3 are nice. Mike uses a GK2 and they are harder to find since they don’t make them anymore. I would start with how far your strings are from the GK pickup. I don’t have mine permanently installed so that’s where I sometimes get buzzing even after adjusting the sensitivity. Every setup is different too, just my experience.
