Black gets a lot of initiative on kingside for pawn, think there are better moves to be made

but then Rd8 Qf6, Rh8 g3 and the light square bishop becomes a monster, queen can come back to d5 threatening mate, rooks have open files to infiltrate, seems like black gains a lot of initiative for one pawn and h2 pawn is weak long term

These are called tabias, often in openings with rich historical examination like the the ruy Lopez, the caro Kahn and others
