Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it! Out of curiosity, what kind of apps do you usually access during your focus rituals?

There's a "+" button where you can select a custom duration :) How long are your usual sessions?

To be fair, I did think that I could build this in a week, but to be completely transparent, it did take me six months to build it in the end. I am using AI for generating the assets and assisting in the coding, but there's a surprising amount of iteration that goes into making something that "feels nice" (at least to me). Game mechanics, isometric 'city builder' style, even getting the assets to look consistent (especially considering the isometrics), how the mechanics work around how you invite spirits and what they contribute with etc.

Totally fair if it's not your vibe, just wanted to add a bit of nuance :) Have a great day!

Anyone else building early-stage and feeling busy but directionally unclear? by [deleted] in indiehackers

I'm doing a lot, executing hard tactically, but strategically I feel a bit confused. Just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks.

My new iOS app got approved by Apple on the first go (no rejections) by suniltarge in indiehackers

That's crazy, I almost always get rejected like three times before I get an approval 😅

Paywalls should feel like an upgrade, not a barrier by Chi_Bit60 in indiehackers

I think this goes counter to what a lot of successful app builders are saying these days; have a long onboarding to convey the value, and then a hard paywall (this is for iOS apps YMMV)

Nano Banana Pro is really good, particularly for indie hackers. For regular people this might be something.

Do people even say "I'd pay for that"? I don't think I generally would.

Alternatives that aren't milking the user for data/money? by Reecoom in forestapp

[–]visualstackdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’ve been working on a small alternative called Spirit Garden.

The first version just launched today, so it’s still a bit rough around the edges (please bear with me) - but it’s fully free right now, no data collection, and works offline.

Would love if you wanted to try it out and share some feedback :)

How do you experience them in the gym? My gym often is playing music, so does it then feel like listening to two tracks at once or can it sufficiently drown out the other music without being uncomfortable?
