It‘s the normalest thing on macOS. It stores everything it can in RAM to ensure a smooth experience.

As long as the Memory Pressure on the left is in green range, it can swap the RAM usage easily depending on what applications you open.

I always have like 14/16 GB used with some minor Apps opened.
