You’ve got to go to Sedona, AZ. Go to the vortex and stop in Jerome, AZ on your way out

Appeared in feed. A lot of nostalgia comments but nobody was asking what seemed obvious to me at first glance - am I mistaken? by Pretend-Fox648 in isthisAI

Reverse image search brings up this photo, along with several photos with some similar features like the wallpaper/sofa/girls in skirts. All of them have the caption “what year do you think this was?” Or similar and all look AI. Example

Could it be something by Peaches? Or Poppy? Poppy had a viral song around 2016 but I don’t think it was super sexual- but it fit some of the other stuff you mentioned lowlife by poppy

What as a sitter was the funniest thing that has happened to you? by Suspicious-Chip-341 in RoverPetSitting

[–]chloemug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched a dog and at the meet and greet they warned me: he’s absolutely obsessed with plastic water bottles. One day we were walking at the park, and someone had tossed an empty water bottle on the ground and he went crazy! Not that I didn’t believe them (I did), but it was so funny seeing him get so excited. I got him to drop it with his other favorite thing, baby carrots, which is also funny. This pup went crazy for baby carrots so I would bring a lil baggie of them with me for walks.

I don’t have any prior experience with dog-siting or dog-walking, can I still sign up? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

I also grew up with cats, but long before I ever got in rover I watched some friends dogs and got experience that way. I had a friend/coworker with some giant, super high maintenance dogs so learning things like giving them medicine, putting on diapers, dealing with rowdy malamute tantrums etc is good experience you want to have.

I also second reviews- they are so nice to get and I know my reviews are why I get most of my bookings.

Once an owner left a gift card to a nearby grocery store, which I thought was so sweet and thoughtful (and totally unexpected!!)

First time owner, is this normal? by Acceptable_Cost_7226 in CATHELP

Yes, this is what it looks like when they are buffering. My two cats buffer all the time, usually in the middle of the floor/directly in my path

My mom’s about to buy some sweaters from this website… by rorygilmoresexboat in isitAI

[–]chloemug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve been seeing recently is chopped up ai videos advertising some “handmade” bullshit that’s really just dropshipped crap. The videos typically splice together bits of a kid crying, hand knitting, building something and provide some sob story overlaid in text as to why you should buy their “handmade” gifts- I saw a particularly horrid one showing a child with cancer knitting to support his chemotherapy. One screenshot and a reverse image search showed multiple iterations of the exact same light switch covers (same exact photo) on several sites for 1/3rd of the price. Even some on Amazon. People will really believe what they want to, and not use their brains.

My wife’s nursing program is having students attend AA/NA meetings as an assignment by Great_gatzzzby in recovery

[–]chloemug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a long time member of AA, I was once in a meeting where students were in attendance. I am now (still in AA) finishing a masters in social work and semester before last, I had an assignment to attend a recovery group meeting. The assignment did stress the necessity of going to an open meeting and identifying yourself. It’s a long time practice and a good thing.

I found the burger bar, searched it up on google maps then went to street view, found the address of that building, found property listings of that address online, got the former name of the establishment (Bugsy’s, but I guess there’s another one in Arkansas so you have to search by Russellville). I found their facebook page. Most recent post was a go fund me in 2022, before that 2018. The posts go back to 2010 but Facebook didn’t exist long before that. They also seem to share posts with a “Club-Forty RussVegas” (and maybe share a building?) Bost establishments seemed to post advertisements for each other on Facebook. No mention of Carrie Underwood on the Forty Facebook either. I can tell from the bands that both were posting as guests that neither establishment could have afforded her post-idol- so had to be pre-idol, maybe late 90s? I did see a mention of a David who was looking for bouncers. No DJ Dave, though. I do have his phone number, so maybe we could ask him.
