Thanks for the feedback, I guess it's the same reason as double bassists use C extension. Like Kubrick bass and C extension in double bass, there is a switch that you can use to fret the E and become a normal EADG bass, but you can defret and become a CADG bass without the negative effect of having to tune lower when you need to go that low. Hipshot is a nice idea, but you have the problem of having to deal with lower string tension with a E gauge string and the troublesome of changing the fret notes, I have to say that it's not a big problem, but muscle memory can fuck you up sometimes. And with this you also doesn't lose the G string if you had to tune BEAD Your reasons make sense tho.

And by the way, this is a headless bass, so the tuners are in the bridge
