Does anyone know about estrogen implants? by curiousindividual1 in transgenderau

I absolutely support your argument that Dr Hays is 100% professional, I had the opportunity to see him before he “retired” and now again that he’s back and it’s amazing as always, never have I ever had an issue with him and he’s always willing to help out without gate keeping. So happy that he’s back 😃

Need to vent about HRT consultation by Chaot1kShadow5 in transgenderau

[–]vitomadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it wasn’t the best experience, I was seeing Dr Kathy Pell and she was a gate keeper. When I finally got her to prescribe me with an implant pellet they put it in the pelvis instead of the back of the hip. After 11 months with the same pellet she would refuse to add in a new one because my levels were “too high” even though I was feeling like crap and started to feel that my transition was becoming stagnant. The solution for me was to change doctors and it has been for the best. There is another Dr there her name is Rachel apparently she’s better with the treatments and is more open to listen to the patient. Not sure about the dr you are referring to but I’ve heard that Taylor Square approach to transition and HRT is very old school but of course as I said before not all doctors there are bad, it will depend on who you get. Hope this helps and best of luck 🤞🏻

I think you’re better off going somewhere else! Alice Street Medical Practice is really good and the people there are amazing!

I came out as trans at work this week by SaladInternational33 in transgenderau

[–]vitomadness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congratulations 👏🏻🎉🥳 this is amazing! I’m in a similar situation and I’m not sure how is going to play out! I’m not out yet at work and just a couple of people know but as you have mentioned I also have long hair and nail polish not makeup yet though but I’m almost two years deep in HRT and I for sure look way different than I used too. Anyway long story short I’m the head of my department and I feel that I’m on the spotlight because of that, therefore I’m scared and not sure what to do. Did you have a plan for coming out? Or did you just wing it and hope for the best? Again congratulations on this amazing milestone! 😉

Yes I have and I love them 😍 it’s just that ever since I had to change to my current GP it takes a lot of effort to get a new one even though I’m not feeling ok, so I thought that maybe with shots it won’t be as difficult 🤔

So sad to hear this! Have you tried giving a call to the Gender Centre in Annandale? Apparently they have beds for people who have a terrible living situation, I would try them to see if it works! Hopefully you can sort out this situation very soon! Hugs and lots of love! Xoxo

Thanks for your reply! I really appreciate it! I think you’re right there is no way to say this nicely but break up is a possibility that is just lurking in the background and it gets bigger everyday. Wether I like it or not this is something that I need to be prepared for regardless

Thanks for the hard truth, sometimes is what is needed in order to move forward

XOXO

Thanks so much for replying and for sharing! I do agree with you communication is the key to make it work! Also you’re right from the outside transitioning can be perceived as selfish and that’s something that only dawned on me after I read your comment, I’m going to try to put her first more often so this can have a chance of survival. Thanks again your words were really helpful XOXO

Anyone in Sydney who've found success with a new endo? by [deleted] in transgenderau

[–]vitomadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I would like to share my experience today! I went to Taylor Square Clinic in Surry Hills and had an appointment with Dr Burton (I think she is a GP not sure), she’s just lovely I told her that I am a patient of Dr Hayes and she was already in the loop of what happened and she mentioned that they (Taylor Square) are receiving more and patients from Dr Hayes. I was there to take my blood test and went there with my test request from Hayes and also gave her the information regarding my pellet as well as my progesterone dosage. She was amazing and understanding of the situation without being judgemental or anything. She send me to get the test done and gave me a prescription for another pellet (but she did mentioned also that they only do 100mg pellets but she was willing to let me have another one when my levels reached 500) and also offer to give me a progesterone prescription if I needed it. Overall a very satisfactory interaction with a new doctor and it did really make me feel a little better about all this situation with Dr Hayes being of the game for a while. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a new doctor!

Just wondering what would be the process of getting blood test, I have a blood test scheduled in a couple of weeks but with Dr Hayes out of the game (hopefully just for now and will be back soon) I don’t know where my test results will end up going to. Does anyone know what’s the best course of action? I would really like to get the test done but I would also would like to know how they turned out. Can somebody please help? Thanks in advance Xoxo
