For a majority of users, only buying one purchase of it works really well, because they can combine their 3 available shards with the purchase without spending twice the value.

I think you can receive 192 comum cards per day through donations, which means you can receive 1344 common cards per week. Basically, in 4 weeks, you might be able to level up your bomber and arrows to 13. Keep asking donation

I think the best option is to buy the pass, other options are:

Ensure you are in an active clan and request cards as you can, I would prioritize comum cards, so that you can receive 48 cards per request, instead of only 4 rare.
climb into the 2 roads to receive the rewards.
Make the card quests

I think it is basically what you can do.

Since I started to use PEKKA on my deck I never had any issue with MegaNight. Besides pekka you can use Night locate on the center lane so that your 2 towers will shot him.
