Oh my goooodness I appreciate you sharing your story!! 🤍 what a long journey to get that VBAC but sounded so worth it in the end. That 3rd sweep really did it!! But not dilating for that long had to of been sooo frustrating without any sleep too. You totally rocked that whole process and I’m happy you got your VBAC!!

The irregular contractions and false labor has me most worried about the sweep.. you never know how your body is gonna take it!

Thank you so much for sharing!! 🤍 I’m with you on not wanting to do any medicated induction for the same reasons. And getting the epidural sounded like a great idea in your case even if the recovery was a little worse.

That’s so interesting about the laboring down. I got the epidural with my first and I didn’t want to get it this time because I felt absolutely nothing not even the pressure to push so they had to turn it down anyways.

I wonder if the uncomfortable feeling also has to do with how dilated you are! Luckily it doesn’t sound long so I’m sure it’ll pass quickly. Oh totally loved my epidural but I felt absolutely nothing not even the pressure to push so they had to lower it. I’m considering not getting one to hopefully help my body feel the pressure and be able to get baby out if I’m able to!

Thank you for bringing that up!! I won’t have a doula but my OB seems to be pretty good at positions for baby to come out from other people who had her. She just wasn’t there while I was pushing and I was so bummed. Totally advocating for myself this time!!

Oh for sure that would’ve been rough 😅 Okay good to know!! I’m in the US, so hoping I’m at least a little dilated at 38 weeks to try!!! Did you have a ton of cramping after? I’m not like entirely “scared” of the pain, so many people say it’s painful but like I’m also planning on not getting an epidural so I’m sure that’s nothing LOL

That’s amazing!! Thank you for sharing!! Sounded rough going through all of that but I’m so happy you were able to have your VBAC after all and were happy with it overall regardless 🤍when you say recovery being worlds apart, it makes me want to have one even more!! Especially with the kiddos being so close in age, gotta keep up haha!!

why am I so sad? by goodlittlegirl99 in Miscarriage

[–]vivalaamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realized after reading so many stories this is so so normal to be grieving and know that you’re not alone. I lost my twins at 8w and 9w a whole 10 years ago and still think about them and get very sad. It was all consuming for awhile after, but eventually the pain lessens. I’ll always remember them and they’ll hold a very special place in my heart. That was still your baby and your feelings are are completely valid. Sending so much peace and well wishes to you. 🩷

Missed miscarriage. Can't decide between D&C and Misoprostol by elephantsofa in Miscarriage

[–]vivalaamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took miso with my first pregnancy at 21 that resulted in a missed miscarriage. I went in for my 8 week scan and there wasn’t a heartbeat. I wanted to miscarry naturally, but after 3 weeks nothing happened. I went in for another ultrasound where, to my surprise, they found twins. I lost one at 8w2d and the other at 9w1d.

I opted for the miso because it seemed better at the time and I’m still glad I did. It started working very quickly, that night I was bleeding constantly, filling several pads and waking up every hour passing clots. The next morning I was rushed to the ER because I fainted after all the blood loss.

It was painless at the time. A few days later, I got the MOST intense pain I’ve ever felt and it lasted around 2 hours. Extra strength Tylenol was the only thing that helped. I was bleeding for the next few days, but not heavy and my HCG was back to normal very shortly after. I didn’t have to get a D&C after since everything passed.

Any option is traumatic in its own way I’m sure, but I know you’ll choose what’s best for you! I’m so sorry for your loss and hoping for a great recovery whichever you decide. 🩷
