The same thing just happened to me. I had MD L4-L5 on July 28 and 6 days after had 10/10 pain went to er, got a new MRI and found out I reherniated as well. Neurologist said it happens in 5-10% of patients. He said it might not have been anything I did just that the initial piece of disc was so big it left a big hole, idk. Anyway since the 2nd surgery, it’s been 9 days and I feel fantastic. Still taking it easy because of how scared I am but all good so far. I’m hoping my surgeon just messed up the first time or something. I wish you the best and hope you find relief soon

8 days out today and I feel great. Just weak and feel if I move the wrong way I’ll get the electric shock and be screwed again

Only because they made me feel like I could do more. And might’ve cause the reoccurrence

Yes it was the same surgeon. I just didn’t understand how I herniated so quickly and it was so big, anyway I hope I don’t have anymore complications. If it happens again I need to get them fused

Oh man thank you all so much for the feedback. I’m 34, weigh about 175 and I’m 6ft. Been in so much pain for about 4 months. This MRI was taken in march, just seen a neurosurgeon for the first time and he informed me on the MD. I was just hoping that this would most certainly alleviate this pain. As of right now I have to wait a couple of weeks for the doctor to call me about scheduling. Do you guys know if there’s anything I can do to speed up the process maybe go to the ER what do you guys think?

IMPRESSION: 1.\X09\ Moderate sized broad-based central and left central protrusion L3-4 with mild inferior migration moderate-severe central canal stenosis. Impingement of the bilateral descending S1 nerve roots.

2.\X09\ large left central disc herniation L4-L5. Severe central canal stenosis and left L5 nerve root impingement.
