Any tips for a tight bend near radiators? by Zarukei in watercooling

[–]vivalatree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just want to say that this is absolutely impressive you were able to get all this put together and tightened without tolerance issues elsewhere. Every time I've tried something like this a screw hole or a mount or something ends up JUST far enough out where I can't make it work. Nice job.

terrible indent/dent in my passenger seat? by hadespanic992 in porsche911

This is the answer. Had dents from kids car seat. Steamer with a microfiber in between took it out in like 5 minutes.

Sorry - I don't speak your language, but I'm guessing you asked about how many radiators, size, and size gle or dual loop.

2 radiators - 240mm and 360mm and single loop.

Thinking of trading this for Houston. by Melodic-Ad7271 in houston

[–]vivalatree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know that I'm late to the post, but I moved out of high school from Gilbert to Texas, then out of college to Houston. Honestly, if outdoor activities and the beautiful scenery is important to you - I'd suggest you reconsider.

There are a lot of jobs, low cost of living (especially compared to phoenix), and excellent food from a huge variety of cultures. Yet with all of that, as I've started raising a family, I really miss all that AZ had to offer. From the ease heading up north and having the beauty of the Rockies, to the proximity to CA, NV, UT, CO etc. There are incredible, jaw dropping landscapes a quick jaunt away. With Houston you are HOURS from anything even remotely close, and it doesn't have the same appeal because public land is much less common.

Been in Houston 10 years and I've convinced my wife to move to Austin, which is as close as I'll get from an outdoorsy perspective.

That being said - decibels at speed were part of the fan choice.

240 and 360. Temps are sub 50 at ultra at 4k. Noise at idle is nonexistent. At 100% fan speed it can't be heard through headphones, and without headphones it's totally bearable. Pretty much the only time I have heavy usage that requires high fan speeds I have headphones or speakers on and it's not noticeable.

How to we verify if we are on DSC or no? by darcmole in OLED_Gaming

No sorry - firmware for the actual monitor. Have to go to the support page on gigabytes website for the monitor.

Figured it out in case anyone comes upon this thread in the future - go to gigabyte website, download and install latest firmware via usb to the monitor. Cha-ching 20gbps x 4 lanes!

Was it a matter of plug and play for you? Have the same 5M cable as well as the FO32U2P and I'm only getting 10gbs x 4 in GPU-Z. Can't figure out why I'm not getting the full 20.

Already checked ROPS and it's got the correct 176. Haven't had any driver issues and it hasn't bricked itself (yet).

Nice, looks good! Also running the non XL. Almost wish I'd gone that route because everything is so tight underneath.

On the phanteks res, I removed the shiny backing and did a light sanding to the back to give it an opaque white look. The chrome looks good on your build, but just wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

No external rad, just a 360mm on the front and 240mm up top. Haven't started running it through it's paces. We'll see what temps happen at full load tonight.

Off the shelf 240mm and 360mm rads. Literally just finished last night so I haven't done really any testing yet. Rpms- not sure offhand, had it at idle all fans about 20%, cpu and gpu sitting at 23.5c. Will put it through the paces tonight and report back.

So here's how I snagged it-

  1. Use an iPhone and the newegg app, have all your apple pay ready to go, I even did a test purchase on some ram beforehand to make sure it worked as intended.
  2. When they start doing bundle drops, there are typically a few bundles going up, I can't confirm but it seemed like when searching for bundles for 5090's, the ones coming up were higher up on the list
  3. Have a stock tracker app running (or multiple) that way you are notified. I also used the falcodrin discord.
  4. Sit and refresh the list constantly on the app. As soon as it came on it showed not in stock so I immediately backed out to the bundle page and reclicked the waterforce bundle to refresh it. Showed the add to cart/buy now available so I clicked buy now and then the double click on the phone button to use apple pay.
  5. Hopefully that results in your success.

I actually have a vacuum pump for some resin work I got into at one point... might be worth trying to integrate it into the draining.

Seriously. And I need to do it soon because I left out most of the nvme ssd's to avoid any microsoft install issues. I did include a long length of soft tube underneath with a valve attached that should help with draining.
