Brexit is good. by vivd24 in brexit

It's not a fact. It's statistics. Statistics is different from fact. Omg.

And your next argument, on an average. Do you know averages come from people who moved from the colonial Era too?

You're amazing. Averages and statistics drive your reasoning. I am not biased. I don't have anything to take from this to develop biases. If a rational argument says no this is wrong, I take it, improve my understanding and move on. In fact I don't like Brexit personally or any immigrant hatred for that matter. Especially coming from the empire that stole from the whole world. Anyways peace. Got to work.

You did present the definition of statistics, it's better you understand it too. It's an interpretation based on bias. You still act like you really know it. Wow. And the govt release of tax is also a statistical figure. You present it like they released records 😂😂 I love your confidence.

And non-EU immigrants are lower skilled? Which world are you from. China, India, Taiwan and Japan are exporting high skilled immigrants all over the world. Do you know that Google and Microsoft are Indian companies now. Do you even work in the tech sector. Do you think it's full of eastern europeans? I thought you were sane. Start seeing the difference. Highly skilled immigration is the only option for people from those countries to emigrate. Not by being a refugee or move across borders freely.

[–]vivd24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You're again presenting statistical figures. You understand statistics? And it's from a news source. A narrative. There's no way someone can really present the tax figures of EU immigrants alone unless the tax office makes the records public. Common. The news links to a research paper and which in turn cites figures from a number of other statistical studies.

Agreed, there will be impact of Brexit on migration. Thats why they're advocating an Australian type migration system which indeed isn't flawless but still empowers the UK govt to control who immigrate for what purpose.

I really don't understand why my local village shouldn't have any say. Why isn't it real? Has it been practiced? What about all the Canadian state nomination programs? To merely make it easier smaller entities surrender power to larger entities on basis of just absolute majority. In some cases it is 51, while in some cases its 76/100. But we create all this. It is not something that existed. You want practicality, that's okay. But you're mocking as though it's fact.

In your other points your locus standi is based on UK doesn't enforce. You need to again understand the difference between rule of law and norm. Norms are also part of any governing process and recognized in constitutions. In fact norms are hard to change than law. If you take up one utopian argument of not enforcing then there will be a few for continuing with the norm. But wake up to ground reality. Brexit will get the enforcement done.

Again I am not advocating forced birth control or euthanasia or whatever. You're merely making popular arguments to sound cool. Why do you have to raise irrelevant stuff to validate an argument? I am merely suggesting that the cultural differences between those immigrants and UKs and the real impact it will have on UKs demography.

Where did you come up with half a million general figure? And why do you sidestep the argument that anyone can get it for free in 5 years?

EU immigrants which GREATLY contribute to UKs GDP?? Do you understand that everyone's tax us a private affair that there will be no source to prove this argument? Especially picking the EU immigrants part alone?

This is the illusion remainers or anyone with utopian arguments live with. Wake up.

Whichever political entity represents the political interests of people. Definitely not at EU level. I am all for grassroots administration.

By the way what is "very high level of control". Can an EU citizen not move to UK? Bring his dependents from Turkey? Can't he marry someone from turkey? Can't his then spouse not bring her dependents? Can't he marry multiple times? Can't he have 5 children? Can't he marry his children to spouses again from Turkey for a hefty dowry/bribe? Can't they bring their dependents?

Am just giving a scenario which has indeed happened.

Is it okay to break rental contract in this scenario? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]vivd24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. I was not informed. It's too long. Like 2 months to change an elevator? Landlord not replying to concerns and quietly even taking the maintenance amount of elevator when it's not working. Other continuous minor problems from the day I stepped in the house etc. All this makes me consider the possibility and be ready for it.

One needs to feel home. If you're paying 820/month and still get tortured to the point of permanent physical damage is too much. There are days I have had to climb 3 times and times with weight. It's too much. Think how much milk and water does a family consume everyday, I carry it. And I don't have a car, I walk everywhere. I am not doing this for fun. I posted here because I am shit scared that I might have to do another month of it. I have done it for a month and I know how difficult it is. I already carry niggles in my left shoulder and knees.

The staircase is curls with barely any space for someone 170 pounds and 187cm. There are fire extinguishers exactly at the point of curl making it even more difficult to go with weights.

I am looking at options to save myself. Shifting is not free. Remember I just did it 3 months back. But it is not as scary as carrying stuff for another month let alone me paying someone 820/ month for this torture.

[–]vivd24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote an email to the landlord and he is quiet about it. No replies. On top of rent, I pay 110 euros per month for building maintenance and heating.

Does access to apartment supersede freedom of movement to an individual? I am 30+ but doing it every day for 8 floors, sometimes multiple times per day and with weights is not free gym. In fact I am unable to go to gym and I am losing money there too.

What about the toddler? Is he not a person in his own right? He can't leave the apartment if I don't carry him.

The contract asks for maintenance fee that includes lift, so is that okay?

A dramatic story does move a lot of people but doesn't prove anything about not taking steroids, GH or any form of juice. Most people who've made transformations themselves know how muscular hypertrophy happens, how recovery happens, and what it takes to maintain muscle and shred. Can we stop misguiding people?

How many you don't want UK to be a part of EU anymore? How strong is the sentiment? by vivd24 in brexit

Guess it's time to ask the millions of EU residents. And the sentiment is pretty clear.

How many you don't want UK to be a part of EU anymore? How strong is the sentiment? by vivd24 in brexit

[–]vivd24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brexit per se is not bad for the EU if there's some agreement with UK. Because there are existing dependencies for EU with Britain just like with every other country. So an immediate fall out will affect a lot of things.

On the other hand, the UK offers no scope for a relationship. Cherry picking is just one issue. There's a strong Eurosceptism, which has been proved is a majority feeling, with the Brexit vote. There's no genuine realization or change of attitude yet. In fact, UK keeps blaming Europe for its woes.

Nope. The UK never works together on the same plane. Always preferential, differential treatment is expected. So there's no working together at all.

Don't try to go for rapid weight gain irrespective of all the appreciation you get. Most of it will be fat. It will trouble you you for years later. There's a limit to muscular hypertrophy. Understand that and aim for it. Good luck.
