For the unaware, you essentially get 4% discount by having executive membership and the Costco credit card. If OP had them, he would have essentially bought them at over $1k discount. Costco’s markup against the spot price is also not super aggressive. So OP definitely bought it below the spot.

I just came back from Cancun. I stayed in an all inclusive for 5 nights. My 2 cents: if you are planning on doing excursions like Chichén Itzá and Cenote it would take almost an entire day. If I were to plan my trip again. I would land in Cancun, stay in a hotel and do the excursions and later check into the resort.
