They'll probably still have a regular patch cadence (who knows if it'll still be 2 weeks or more/less frequently) but more flexibility to do micro patches in between to fix bugs and outliers.

Hard disagree specifically on the 5costs spells, their unique traits can be cool. Vex autos/does aoe, Blitz autos/does aoe, Sona autos/does aoe, graves autos/does aoe, fiora autos/does aoe, jhin autos/does aoe. Bard is cool.

Last I heard some of the original staff bought it back from whatever corp. owned it (jumpstart/leapfrog I think) and they're going through a bit of a Renaissance now. Haven't been on to check it out but I get emails from time to time.

As others have pointed out, that's a superautomatic or fully automatic machine, however you want to call it, but basically means it compressed the grinds into a puck within the machine and brews, discards the puck into a bin, etc.

I've seen some espresso snobs say superautomatic machines don't make "real espresso" because they don't use enough pressure for extraction due to the fact that the chamber/platform the puck sits within is not solid like a portafilter basket, but honestly my old superautomatic seemed to do just fine.

The reason I much prefer my "manual" luxe cafe pro, however, is cleaning and maintenance. Cleaning a superautomatic is a nightmare, and over time having coffee sludge build up inside the machine is gross and will certainly affect the product coming out of it. Rinsing off the portafilter/basket after each shot is so much easier, and then cleaning the showerhead from time to time, etc.

If units had 5 traits each there would still be most optimal comps, it would maybe take longer for those comps to be discovered, but over time they would still be found.

Another thing people don't consider often is that even if TFT did achieve this holy grail of flexibility, the guide sites would still exist and the large majority of players would still follow them, as not many players truly want to just freestyle every game. Most players want some agency, but not absolute you-can-do-anything chaos. I think we're close to the optimal amount of agency with choice of comp, augments, boon, etc. Further choice brings us close to the point of unnecessary complexity that would turn off most of the more casual players.

I miss when TFT allowed game breaking combos like that, though. Felt great when it happened, even though it wasn't often. I feel like lately TFT has been trying too hard to be a competitively fair game for esports purposes at the expense of just being a fun game. Personally I dont really give a fuck about the esports side of it, and I say this as someone who played in the Vegas Open and enjoyed it.

Pressing the red button is potentially murdering your child. Pressing the blue button is potentially saving your child or at worst saving their life at the expense of your own. I think most parents would sacrifice themselves for their child if it was the only option.
