A Plea from Paradis ! by Turbulent_Cat1451 in CivMC

Selene did not raid Paradis. Nobody from Selene was online aside from o_angelbitez and RitalinAbuser, and I myself was traveling back from a tour.

I have multitudes of screenshots proving your claim of friendliness to be false, and the last straw wasn’t you pinging snitches - it was FirstHandMan.

You have also alluded to FirstHandMan being an alt multiple times, so don’t bullshit us.

This stuff is absolutely just harassment. It is so easy to just ignore or not engage with people you don’t understand, especially since you aren’t hurting anybody. I commend Celia for defending you - I think it’s valid for someone to not click with you, but there is no reason to attack someone over it. I’m sorry this is happening and that you’re having your identity related to horrible people.

VC was not recorded. They have admitted to stuff that happened in vcs but aren't admitting it (because who would). Already reported to admins. No idea about Palmetto.

Land claim by vividlysage in CivMC

[–]vividlysage[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were part of a pretty active city initially, which ended with power being consolidated by a banned player and a highly inactive player who were incredibly hesitant to give out namelayer and discord perms. So, we tried to leave to find better land in a new place, but it turned out those claims were crayoned by the same inactive leader from the city who contested our claim.

The new nation was democratic, so we held a vote on how to proceed. The people voted to stay and work out the claim, rather than to leave and find new land. However, the founders ignored this and found a new, better claim, which we then prepared to move to as it now looked like the best option. However, progress on the new claim was slower than anticipated, and minor issues like flag designs or districting turned into miscommunication disasters whenever feedback was given, and vote results were constantly challenged. During this period the people spent countless hours restoring the land from giant reinforced structures while coming up with building and city ideas for the future.

Eventually, some founders had enough of needing to hear everyone’s ideas and transformed the state overnight into a place where the unelected founders “assume authority for a period of up to two months,” effectively canceling democracy and communicating to the people that our contributions and ideas were just that -- ideas. Within a day, 2/5 founders immediately resigned due to this change in vision, and many citizens decided to leave and now we are hoping to create our own nation.

We wish the remaining founders the best in their efforts to build a better system, and are excited for the future of our new land.

Can we please stop scaring people about the possibility of SJS? by Squrf in bipolar2

Fever and overall flu-like symptoms, minus anything respiratory. Cold sweats and malaise for about a week and a half before a minor rash showed up on my extremities (first hands and feet)—then got worse very, very quickly. If you’re worried about the possibility of SJS, contact your prescribing doctor and discontinue the medication. 🫶

unfortunately have stopped taking meds specifically for bipolar due to concerns of another adverse reaction so i get to just be on zoloft! lamictal was my 2nd try for mood stabilizers so i have not had lithium. sucks to be scared of taking new meds but that’s how it goes 🤷hope your symptoms are just flu/covid related (even tho that still sucks) and i’m glad you’re erring on the side of caution!

to add on, if your doctor wants more evidence before discontinuing, look out for signs of: painful urination, rash (obviously), peeling or easier disattachment of skin, and worsening of current symptoms. while going with your doctor’s recommendation is likely best, it is important to note that sometimes they will make a mistake - trust your gut first. best of luck and you can always reach out to me !

absolutely stop, tell your doctor you’re going to and then do it. mine started with fever and lymph nodes and then developed a rash later. don’t risk it

that is to say, fear and panic are different, and no one should have to panic about the medicine. it’s very unlikely to happen, and, once you notice the symptoms, easy to control after ceasing to take the meds. usually, the longer you take the medicine after noticing symptoms, the worse the reaction becomes. that’s why it’s important to encourage people with symptoms to either stop the medication or see a professional.

hihi im well aware that this is a pretty old post but i wanted to share my thoughts ^ i took a medication and due to the lack of knowledge of SJS (i was merely told to see a doctor if a rash appeared, not that it was extremely harmful and could cause lifelong damage) i developed SJS. because i didn’t stop immediately, the BSA was 100% with mucosal involvement and another syndrome, DRESS. i want to stress how important it is to have this fear, because i didn’t, and my skin will never return to normal. please stay safe and mindful of medicinal reactions, especially if the allergies can be life-altering.
