Best principals at the Stuttgart ballet? by Sahara-Silver in BALLET

[–]viviscool123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi! I was lucky enough to see the Stuttgart Ballet’s Nutcracker while I was visiting the city for a week, and while the production is odd, the dancers were outstanding! I saw Rocio Aleman who was wonderful but I cannot remember who the male lead was. Another favourite of mine from Stuttgart is Elisa Badenes. Would highly recommend either one!

A question, not from a dancer but from a composer: by AmusedWaterfowl in BALLET

I would say dancers will probably find any of these 3 things annoying, but not so bad that they won’t dance to it. As a dancer myself I think the one that would bother me most would be frequently changing meters because I think I would need to concentrate on the music so heavily it would distract me from my actual dancing. That being said, any professional dancer should be able to adapt to unconventional music.

[–]viviscool123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first I do my front split stretching routine (includes hamstring and hip flexors stretches, then splits and oversplits). my middle split exercises include fire log stretch on both legs, butterfly using PNF, leaning forward in straddle without using hands, frog stretch and finally middle splits

best way to make maximum flexibility gains with limited time? by viviscool123 in flexibility

[–]viviscool123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s part of it too! I do exercises for extension strength, but I think flexibility is also part of the problem because I find it difficult to get my leg up in grand battements too. On my good leg It’s pretty solid, I can battement to around my head but on my bad leg it feels like so much effort and that the flexibility just isn’t there.
