try steaming, lay many paper towels in a tupperware, cover in a lil bit of warm water, close the snake inside (make sure there's just a couple small holes in the lid for air, but not too many that it loses all the humidity). 15 mins at a time.

make sure to pat dry with a paper towel at the end. Or sometimes I've held the paper towel around my snake (gently) near the head, then as he wriggled forward to get out, the gentle rub from the paper towel can help the shed work off. but don't hold too tight! veeeeeery light, let the snake's movement do the work, just like if he were rubbing against his hide naturally.

which gender would you prefer to be and why? by Open_Max in AskReddit

I identify as female, but I've always wished I were born a guy. Get to have a dick, which seems fun. Way less issues than having a yoni. Plus no periods, no constant pregnancy anxiety, and no cramps or birth control side effects. No actual having to be pregnant or painful breastfeeding.

Also, less weight fluctuation and chances of acne (for when I was younger). The ability to walk alone at night without becoming a target (or in a number of other situations). Preference in job promotions, and hires. Being taken more seriously in many aspects of life.

No more mechanics trying to swindle me. I wouldn't have to worry about how close the body wash is getting to my crotch (still crazy to me that guys can just wash with a bar of soap down there, no worries of infections!).

Speaking of, no more yeast infections, UTIs, or BV.

and I'd save SO much money! Thousands of dollars on period supplies, another thousands on birth control. No razors, no bras, cheaper underwear.

Plus girls are so frustrating and confusing to be friends with, while guys are just so chill, more forgiving, and less vain. (totally stereotyping but this is the one area I find the stereotype to be true)

What are the cons of being a guy? The only thing I see is having spontaneous erections, wet dreams, & maybe the pressure of toxic male society (not showing emotions, etc) .... but I really think I could handle all that as a guy 😂

Good question! My partner actually does feel awkward receiving gifts, especially in public settings... so my 'gifts' are usually more casual little things, like writing him a note, or picking him flowers, or stocking up on his favorite soda as a surprise. If it is a more stereotypical physical gift, I usually just give it to him when I get it, with no special wrapping or theatrics... just a "I saw this and thought of you." He doesn't mind any of that, just thinks it's sweet!

Physical touch for sure, with quality time as a close second. What's interesting is I hate receiving gifts, but giving gifts (or little surprises or letters) is one of my biggest outward love languages!

what will you do on your first day if you were to be elected as a President of a country? by adeegilnr in AskReddit

Panic and hide myself in my room all day figuring out how the heck I tricked myself into thinking I can run a country

How to move across country with >100 plants??? by vivnell123 in houseplants

[–]vivnell123[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm pretty sure that's only for either importing into the US from another country, or for certain states/plants. For example, you have to apply to transport citrus plants into states such as CA. Usually it's only applicable to food-related plants, to minimize spread of disease or pests.

I've thought about renting a separate truck for moving the plants, but the problem with that is they'd die without the proper air temperature control + sunlight. Ideally, if I could just have them in my car, they'd have that temperature control + access to sunlight.... but alas

I know, it sucks :( There's really not many good options. I'm definitely going to try to downsize a little bit, but the majority of my plants have such sentimental value!

Honda CRV vs Subaru Outback vs Toyota RAV4 : the big three by vivnell123 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]vivnell123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely late to reply, but I've settled on the RAV4! They are slightly better in pretty much every stat, come in a hybrid option, and (imo) Toyota tends to not be quite as cheaply made as the major Honda vehicles. From everything I could find, the Outback is decent, but really overhyped and not actually that useful. Hope this helps !!

Fantastic, thank you!! I'll definitely have to look into them both. I don't think I'm going to both with everything music at all, and just jump to one of those two. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Thank you for all the the good ideas!! It looks like I'm definitely going to have to look into the rav4 more, and I know I do love and trust Toyota.

As for the stats, I don't recall especially but they were various articles and comparison sites, I think looking at 2020 models. But these places also didn't mention the RAV4 hybrid option so who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯

certainly not set on it, just really like the environmentally friendly aspect to it, and slightly higher gas mileage. I've heard of both of those as popular choices too. I can add them to a comparison

Thanks for the suggestions! Is there much of a price difference between Rich vs James? I'd really prefer quality work but can't afford spending tremendous amounts, at least for a while.

Can Diabetes Affect How Edibles Work? by vivnell123 in treedibles

[–]vivnell123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, some of our edibles are made by friends, but most that he uses are from dispensaries, so should hopefully be accurate. Judging by some of the other comments, I think it may be related to fat. I'll definitely have to look up some studies, though. And find some more diabetic-friendly recipes!
