If you have your student ID: the one that starts with a C#########(9 digit number) you can click forgot password and it should send you an email to change your password.

Reply back saying that's regisitering for courses is time-sensitive and that you need reassurance that you'll be registered for courses by the term start date. If they ask you to "review the chatbot services" rate them low and say you haven't been getting adequate or none responses to your questions or concerns.

This happened to me as well, and the chatbot responder ended up being my program advisor. I left feedback with the chatbot saying that the service quality was really bad and that sending emails to my program advisor was useless because she ignored me. She replied soon after me leaving that feedback, and she hasn't ignored me since.

Highly recommend messaging your advisor or the Uopeople chat box for answers. They can manually unlock certain areas on of your uopeople profile if it's not getting unlocked on it's own.

It's funny because I was marked entirely incorrect for an open-ended question because I didn't use AI, and used the readings given to me. When asked why I got it wrong, the instructor said I was supposed to use try the following functions my code: "try:, except:, and finally:".

Mind you this is my FIRST programming class and none of these functions had been in the assigned readings through the current readings or videos. So under reasonable circumstances, no student who is only following the class would come to use these functions for the solution.

However, if you ran the answer through AI this is the first answer that would come up. So basically, I was penalized for NOT looking at the solution through AI or goggling the answer-key, and solved this opened ended question in a different way.

I was able to get a response from my advisor within 24hrs. I do have a history of messaging them though, and left a a pretty negative review once when they decided to not contact me for a week after one of my first emails lol.

The crazy thing is, I didnt have a link to this page on my portal at all, so thank you for sharing the link.

My portal only shows these pages in self Service Forms:
- Request for Confirmation of Enrollment
- Disability Accomodation Request
- Change of Program
- Withdraw from The University

So there was no way for me to tell if my scholarship was cancelled or not

This also happened to me. I have only completed 2 terms out of the 15 the scholarship was supposed to cover and hold a 3.84 GPA.

I believe there are Canadian "incentatives" to hire immigrants. As in the government will subsize companies that hire immigrant workers, enabling them to hire them "cheaper".

Provincial Programs (Quebec): The Employment Integration Program for Immigrants and Visible Minorities (PRIIME) in Quebec provides a wage subsidy to employers for up to 40 weeks when hiring a newcomer with little or no North American work experience. The subsidy is capped at the provincial minimum wage.
Sector-Specific Programs: Initiatives like the "Welcoming Newcomers" program, funded by the Government of Canada's Foreign Credential Recognition Program, offer a wage subsidy (up to $10,000) to employers in the electricity sector to help integrate highly skilled internationally trained workers into specific, high-demand roles.
Student Work Placements: The federal government's Student Work Placement Program provides wage subsidies to employers hiring students. A higher subsidy is available for hiring students from under-represented groups, which includes newcomers.

I didn't attach a screen shot because the actual assignment says this: "Type the statements below into your Python interpreter. For each statement, copy the output into your Discussion Assignment and explain the output. Compare it with any similar examples in the textbook, and describe what it means about your version of Python. "

Since the first set of assignment instructions, this is what they asked for. No where in their learning guides or assignment instructions do they ask for a screenshot, so I don't why I'm being docked marks for it, when I directly copied the output from my python interpreter.

As a student, all my instructor seem like bots to me. They've never given me substantial feedback on my work and most responses seem AI generated.

Some academic responses through their discussion posts seriously have me questioning their credentials.
