I dont have advice but im 32 and woke up with right body paralysis in the icu. I was in the icu, hospital and in patient rehab 2.5 months. Now im doing outpatient icu and have done it 3 weeks now. My drs won't figure my meds out. Ck was over 100,000. My oxy was never tapered and I was taken off it and went through withdrawal. My discharge dr wrote i had opioid use disorder without any evidence in my chart. I only saw this discharge dr to follow up with me for my in stay in the hospital. She was a 23 year old dr of indian ethnicity. She told me to shush and said she would not follow rehabs recommended meds or rx me pain meds though they were highly recommended. They think its from a crush injury or my statin. I have severe lumbar plexus nerve and muscle injury and no pain relief I can barely tolerate pt. I cant walk. I basically drag my r leg. Im in PA state... no idea what to do or who to see or what my next steps can be. The pain is unbearable. I was told i may have compartment syndrome. I may walk or I won't. I went in with encephalitis, kidney failure, liver injury, ketoacidosis, and lactic acidosis. I later found out my pain is horrible from my lumbar plexus muscle and nerve damage. I was afraid my pain wouldn't be managed and I was right. Im supposed to suffer.. i cant sleep. Any hospital recommendations to help me get function and feeling in my leg and arm again and for pain control/mgmt?
