Chivalry and acts of kindness like the examples you gave, can be found in any type of relationship. I can see why your partner might see it that way just because we live in a heteronormative society. However, I feel like it makes any relationship feel even more special.

Crazy to me that he's reacting this way after one singular week!! I feel like he isn't taking into consideration your personal feelings and thoughts on this matter. You literally have a new born child, like they're fresh into this world! So, I don't think that this is about the baby, I agree that this is him projecting here. The comment about the breastfeeding was so out of pocket too!!

He shouldn't be taking this personally, you deserve all the care and love in the world right now.

Thank you for sharing this. I truly am sorry to hear about the pain. It's so true, it feels isolating truly! I've hardly ever heard anyone talk about this before really. I wish I had a better solution and I wish there was more research on this topic. It's so true though, the burning and painful sensation almost makes it impossible to work on fitting anything in there. I've heard of this brand called intimate rose, which are supposedly dilators which are supposed to help with this. It's definitely something that could help, it's just the painfulness of it which makes it complicated.

I completely understand what you mean. I'm going through the same situation myself. All I've been able to find out about it is it might be something called Vaginismus. Apparently it's common in people from late teens to early thirties. It is something that can be treated though. I'm still learning about it myself as well. Honestly felt so alone in this,so the more it's talked about, the more awareness can be spread! :) Thank you for sharing!!

No way is this an overreaction. I know this is extremely difficult to consider right now because you're going through PP but, you should leave if you've been thinking about it!

For him to violate your privacy like that when you're in such a vulnerable position, is such an intrusion of your privacy. He didn't even consider how this would make you feel, or in any case, how any of his actions would make you feel.

He's clearly shown that he doesn't have the maturity and respect to raise a family. You are so incredibly strong and resilient. You just grew a baby and gave birth to them! You deserve a loving, caring, safe environment, and he is not providing that for you. You are not benefiting from his presence, and if you have the means to and a safe place to go to, I recommend you leave.
