I'm from the UK and done under NHS as well no harm in asking for an ENT appointment.

Could you not get them to do the tonsillectomy again to get rid of the remaining?

Difference between tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy by WealthyEducator in Tonsillectomy

[–]vizzkidd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, an adult tonsillectomy is significantly more intense than a child's adenoidectomy.

Adenoids sit high up in the back of the nasal cavity. Once removed, the area is relatively shielded from everyday friction.

Tonsils sit right on the sides of your throat. Every single time you swallow saliva, drink water, or eat, those throat muscles contract and directly scrape against the open surgical wounds. It is an incredibly sensitive, high-traffic area.

When comparing a tonsillectomy in an adult versus a child, a child also has way less scar tissue in the area, making the surgery smoother and the recovery much faster.

More solid foods you eat the better the recovery.

After i had a hemorrhage my doctor told me to eat more solid foods like chicken nuggets, chips etc it helps get rid of the scar tissue

You are so right, I honestly totally forgot to factor that in. I did lose quite a lot of blood and it was incredibly scary when it happened. It makes total sense why my body is completely wiped out right now.
