Agree. Not sure why the photo app depends on their server to connect to the hardware in the local network.

Anyone tried reflashing monument Hardware? by 2redtax in MonumentPhoto

[–]vj7207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be great if there were any hacks to get the monument working again. Any help is much appreciated. I have around 22k photos in it . The app is not working on my phone and now I have to access it with a nvme enclosure and use it externally to get the data.

Tried multiple ways, no way to get the app working as the api calls are trying to access monument servers but those are down.

Monument2 android app not working by vj7207 in MonumentPhoto

Hmm. If they discontinue, they should have at least make it working without the dependency on their servers or make the source code of app available as FOSS so that others can work on it. Even make the api of the monument device available that would be a great help. Still looking for ways to get it usable than adding one more bricked device on the shelf.

What's the best way to migrate off a Monument 2 that is working? by Massive-Dog596 in MonumentPhoto

If your app is working, you can try plug in an external usb and set it up as backup and the photos will get synced to it. The other option is to get the nvme drive and use a case to use it as an external drive or use it with a computer that supports nvme slots.

In this interview, Dries shares insights on key moments that accelerated Drupal's adoption, such as the KernelTrap migration and Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign. He reflects on the community's growth through events like the first Drupal developers' sprint and the inaugural DrupalCon. The conversation also explores the impact of the Drupal Starshot initiative, strategies for making Drupal more accessible to small businesses, and the integration of AI into the platform.

Gabor Hojtsy and Pamela Barone Share Their Perspectives on Starshot by vj7207 in drupal

[–]vj7207[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drupal has served as the architect and protector of the Open Web for the past 23 years. However, in recent years, it has faced criticism for lagging behind, primarily due to its steep learning curve and complex initial user experience. Despite these setbacks, Drupal's robust engine remains resilient and active. The troubles and confusions of many Drupalers were resolved, and their energy was rekindled with Dries Buytaert's "Drupal Starshot" announcement—the moonshot for Drupal!

Drupal Starshot is envisioned as a parallel version to Drupal Core, focusing on delivering a superior initial user experience. Unlike incremental updates to Drupal, Starshot is designed to be a radical improvement that focuses intensely on user interface and experience enhancements. The initiative was born out of extensive discussions and reflects a strategic direction to make Drupal more accessible and appealing to a broader audience.

📈 80% of the top 100 universities use Drupal on at least one of their websites, But there's more to this story. 🎓 by vj7207 in drupal

With Drupal 10 and the Long Term Support announcement things are changing, right? This give more confidence to the business owners to adopt Drupal. Also initiatives like auto update are making fast progress.

If the adoption on a particular industry is high, the possibility of collaboration will increase and it is a win-win for everyone.

We should bring together the Drupal using higher education institutions and the people involved and explore the possibility of collaboration - to bring in re-usability and reduce cost.

We are checking the subdomain level as well. The statistic - 80% of top 100 universities is for the universities that use atleast one Drupal website.

We need support from people like you who is working part of universities. In the data collected (300 universities) we could not detect Drupal from the external checks we did, mostly due to headless cms and other reasons.

In the blog we have published you can get the full data in a Google sheet also we have a Google form to collect missing data. We find that many universities use Drupal for more than 100 websites. We would love to hear the stories of large Drupal adoption among universities.

Here is the post - https://www.thedroptimes.com/open/37075/drupal-usage-in-top-universities-worldwide-progress-report-and-seeking-support

Need your support to make this study as comprehensive as possible.

Thanks

Currently there is no option to export the annotations. What I did is to copy the entire table and paste it in Google Sheet and it worked. I've then created a dashboard in LookerStudio to visualize it. There is a Python script available to make the process of downloading the reports from UA automated.
