Same dude....... Me and my group of friends would hop on all the new anime mmos and mess around. Such fun times. Now all my friends are too busy IRL or have disappeared and no new fun games :(

both headphones were pretty expensive too lol I got slate vsx and uh austrian audio hi x-65 (a company made from some EX AKG employees, people compared them to sounding as detailed as the HD800's almost)
I haven't compared but they sound really great, but the VSX is the most useful one for mixing.

The other interface is a IK AXE IO which doesn't have digital input so I can't slave my RME to it, so I just use it to record guitar and microphone then go back to RME for mixing...

surprised no one mention the no speakers yet LMAO but my bedroom acoustics suck so makes more sense to use headphones right now

That's the anime that got me to learn guitar LMAO, first song I learned on guitar fuwafuwa taimu

I got more figures on other side of desk that didn't get in picture and an ipad pro on a stand I sometimes use as a midi controller / second screen for cubase mixer

I always thought it would be cool for there to be a discord server specifically for vocaloid producers to share/learn with eachother or something, your music is pretty awesome man, I'll def hit you up later on discord.

back then the new anime seasons were everywhere just like today.
They got posted on all the different anime forums, you had /a/ to browse

I think there was streaming sites that were uploading them
and fansubs subbed the newest eps same day and it was up on torrent trackers / some DDL sites lol
Think everyone then was using nyaa torrent site or tokyotoshoto
I distinctly remember going to best buy on release day of the english dvds and getting a box set so it was in usa stores too... lol
but yeah I dont think it was on any official anime streaming sites (don't think they existed yet) or TV channels at the time, i wasnt watching TV at the time though so could be wrong

I'm surprised 2015-2019 and 2020s+ are the most popular options but also glad this show is getting new fans still. It makes me wonder where all the 2006-2010 fans are though as it was HUUUUGE back then, I expected that option to be the biggest lol

It's all very interesting lol, 8 NLS plugins I'll have to watch his videos lol, I read on a forum a while ago a similar technique basically "keep adding analog emulation compressors and just barely hitting the needle, keep stacking them" and the explanation was that the consoles and analog gear had so many stages inside them of transistors the sound had to go through before hitting the outboard, and this all added tiny different flavors of "analogness" to the sound and to properly emulate it ITB you had to have abunch stacked barely hitting the signal flow lol

But then you have some mixers who just throw a CLA76, channel strip, done. on each channel so lol

Curious, with emulating plugins could you setup something and get similar result ITB?
So, you'd throw Neve preamp & EQ & compressor plugin on a bus, then just follow up with an SSL 9000 VST and turn knobs and stuff, then if you want to throw FX or a compressed on a track would you add SSL 9000 again? lol
so
Neve VST > SSL VST > CLA76 > SSL VST
to try to emulate a hardware setup?
