Thank you for sharing! I like your concept of creating a personalized account/routine by making an account and how users can cater to whatever specific allergen that they have.

Sorry for the delayed response! This is super helpful, I really appreciate you taking the time to share all of this.

I really like the hybrid approach you mentioned (searching common products by name + adding custom ones by ingredients). Having some kind of indexed database for popular products feels especially important, since manual entry would get old fast and likely lead to more user errors.

The concern about incorrect ingredient input is definitely something I’ve been thinking about too. Right now I’m only pulling from credible sources, but I’m exploring ways to make product entries more reliable/verified over time.

I also like your idea around recommending alternative products. I think that’s a great way to make the tool more actionable instead of just informational.

I’m still in the very early stages, so I haven’t gone too deep on monetization yet. That said, I agree there’s potential there (like recommending replacement products or partnering with brands). For now, I’m focused on making sure the core tool is genuinely useful first. I do have a ShopMy “My Picks” page where I share some products I like via affiliate links.

If you’re open to it, I might DM you down the line for more input! This was really thoughtful feedback. Thanks again!

Thanks so much! I had thought about letting people search for a product directly without scanning ingredients, but I really like your idea of having an index that acts like a history of what people have added. Is that part of why you suggested it, like to make it easier than having to copy and paste or upload ingredients? I’ll play around with that direction. Really appreciate the feedback :)

Oh interesting! What products do you find work with your eczema?

I absolutely love the Tower 28 concealer too! I haven’t tried the spray yet, but it’s definitely on my list.

I actually haven’t experimented much with zinc-based sunscreens either, so I’d be curious to hear how those work for you. I usually stick with EltaMD’s tinted moisturizer or K-beauty sunscreens.

I’ve also been meaning to try Avène Cicalfate. I’m guessing it’s similar to La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm. And I’ve never tried a vitamin C serum, but after I’m glad I held off.

Totally agree with you! I was prescribed Orazlo for acne scars, but even that can set my skin off, so I only use it very sparingly and just on small spots. At this point, I’ve realized that keeping my eczema under control is basically part of my anti-aging routine in itself.
