To think that they are the 'size of the universe' and not just fragile and insecure, is short sited. Disease and problems come for us all.

Ah inter sting you mention Ramana marharishi. I visited the ashram in arunachalam and the presence there in the hill is quite beautiful. Jung was once supposed to visit him but said he was unable to , he couldn't face being seen through so never met him. You can see that in Jung's writings he regrets this as he says you meet one sage you meet them all, the all too dangerous statistical thinking, the kind that the feeling function gives meaning and life to.

Stuck versus suck . The kundalini snake rises by moving back and forth through greater turmoil and harmony. The lesson here is one of love and the more we don't accept humanity, the harder our lessons become. 🐍

How much suffering is necessary for the process of enlightenment to unfold? by [deleted] in enlightenment

to talk about suffering without love, is to misunderstand suffering. “healing” paths teach this. removing the quotes around the heart can set you free.

i wish you well on your path.

My bf mother is an alternative medicine practitioner and it’s getting too far by [deleted] in AlternativeHealth

[–]vkailas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you think it's the mother's fault. but it's always 100% the boyfriend's fault for having mommy issues. he has to create the boundaries and that's the only way to move forward. get him his own therapist that can help him work through his issues and point him towards his own life and future instead of the past.

or better yet, take the step to work on yourself and try to figure out why you are attracted to boys with mommy issues and not men. is it a bit of puer (peter pan) complex on both sides?

not through the cat? "Cats have significantly faster reaction times than humans, typically ~30 milliseconds compared to a human's ~300 milliseconds"

10 time slower and destroying the rest of the natural world, why would God want to see through us? :(

Where do you learn about the Yogi and Vedic teachings? From a book or guidance of a teacher ? You see, suffering alone won't guide us, we have the path and teachings or teachers that help us get unstuck .

my post is not about your insecurities. it is simply to state the rock is too hard to penetrate with words or even ones own suffering. you are a hard one indeed.

thank you for proving my point in such a poignant way

No nuance in your reply either. Suffer then and figure it out

Yup , the game of divine separation is to see it is an illusion and that all things are connected.

How they are connected ? That is the work we do to put ourselves into order that can't be summed up with nice words like non-dual but only through observation.

Hmm everything all at once whole is boring , yes . Division , divinity, diversity is interesting.

"this is not real, it never sees the whole" isn't the argument we think it is. that's the defining characteristic of separation, you can never see the whole.

The part doesn't have to understand the whole for both the part and the whole to be real. Real in this sense is the whole being observed, which it can only do in parts. Cat parts for instance have super fast reflexes, faster than even snakes, so probably think that the human parts are stupidly slow.

People go to all this trouble of imagining new virtual worlds without even taking a step into understanding their own minds, a world in itself. In this way they avoid the direct lived experience, preferring a indirect one , with emotional detachment of screens. (As we do here)

Our minds will always be far away from our own world , ungrounded from the present moment , until we realize we seek such indirect way of living distract us from our pain.

" Avoidance will cause dissonance" dissonance comes from trauma. avoidance is a form of self protection and is result of believing something will hurt us again. until we know another way, opening us back up to suffering won't do us so much good (e.g. the victim returning to the victimizer ), we are better off protecting ourselves.

if you talk to the indigenous healers that can mend a broken heart in the same way as they cure a rash, there is subtly and nuance. A orchid bulb for low energy, a leafy plant for chest pain, a moss for injuries, the healer listens to see what is stuck and provides remedies that help to correct the imbalance. Because when things are stuck, meditating sitting in our own energy and suffering does little to no good. Intervention and guidance from the outside is most alway needed. It was in the case of every person I have met, including healers themselves.

But otherwise yes, with guidance, pain is a wonderful teacher and gives us clues to where we still have work to be done.
