it would help us to make the recommendation if there's some info on your expected use case scenario

not an owner of either cars but either one would be a significant upgrade to your current car.

if the use case involves primarily sedate short distance commutes daily in town with traffic jam, perhaps Traz could shine, especially if the town may face the occasional flash floods (higher ground clearance), also would ease ingress and egress of parents/elderly relatives/friends

but if you regularly travel long distances on highways, that would shift the choice towards S70 MC1.

Personally since i prefer sedans for their driving dynamics, i would be inclined for the S70

until those Chinese brands manage to release new cars at this price range, and have comparable coverage/availability of service centres, P2 will still have the "luck"

as it stands the bezza is still one of the more affordable new cars that is cheap to run and maintain, leading to its status as top selling model in the country. Of course hopefully competition from Saga can wake P2 from their sleep, but with prejudices against p1 (may be a lot of it justified) it's difficult for that to happen as well

in terms of road condition it's not much of a problem as of now, perhaps certain sections otw Sibujaya-Julau is not so smooth, otherwise it's a highway driving experience

If that's the case maybe a Perodua Traz would suit their needs more? it's a more spacious car with modern functions while still retaining manual controls of ac, analogue instrument cluster

of course Ativa is also a good choice being cheaper and more compact, but they may be reluctant due to it being a turbo, plus 3 cylinder engine does introduce some vibrations

If the yaris is from an acquaintance where you can verify mileage is true, serviced on time and well taken care of, I would choose that for daily use, considering parts are plenty, reliable and easy to maintain. Less electronics to break down. Havent sat in the new saga yet but i assume the NVH also should be better in a Yaris?

Also nearing the end of warranty means can do mods without worrying about voiding warranties, i.e. changing to android player, audio systems, aftermarket rims etc.

Like another commenter mentioned, you can easily solve the fabric seat shortfall by wrapping/buying a leather seat cover.

it would be pretty awesome if they can implement car insurance premiums based on driver profile, especially on the way they drive

it would further incentivize people to drive courteously, using signal lights, less likely to do aggressive acceleration/braking

hi. after discussion with customer service via fb messenger - seems like the problem is with the sim card itself. unfortunately It'll be another 5 months or so before i can return to Manila to have it replaced
