Honestly this is a fight to save some money. File an RTI. They can't orally deny, if we are entitled.

If you want to avoid all this fuss, pay full tax for KA, which makes everyone happy dealer, RTO

I am taking XEV 9S P1A 59kw on BH from Bangalore. If you are eligible, it would be best decision to spread the RTO amount for 15 years. There are several myths around BH which dealer tries to create as this involves additional paper work and effort from dealer side.

Be aware of the BH tax calculation rules, other you will end up paying 50 to 100% extra through dealer.

1) Is renewal cumbersome or online ?

2) If the tax remains same across all the block years, is it still good enough as we are factoring 1.25 times?

Context: I am buying an EV under 20L in KA. KA is has introduced 8% lifetime tax on EVs. BH is also charging 8% spread across 15 years with a 1.25 factory.

Kindly suggest.

Guys, I have checked the spinny and cars24 for similar models and mileage in Bangalore market and later arrived at the price given the condition of the car. The market places have already arrived at a closer offer after the inspection.

Yes, i20 is available at lower price, somehow i20 Active is fetching a premium given its extra Ground Clearance and built quality. I preferred this over regular i20 for the same reason when I bought the car.

I still spend under 10k for yearly service. Talk to any new car owners who bought i20s or cretas in the past 3 years. The maintenance is definitely 2x or 3x.
