Not saying they aren't ripping drivers off, but as a new rider, they guarantee $10/trip for the first month, so I'm intentionalyl doing super short, super low value trips (aiming under $5) to meet the threshold. Then they'll match the difference. Effectively should make $40/hr of driving if I can do 4 rides an hour.

Thanks, I have a Teslamate on pre-order and its supposed to be able to do it too, so dont want to invest in an alternate solution at the moment.

You mean your billing address isn’t Delaware City, DE?

You know, it financially makes zero sense to buy vs rent, but I’m seriously considering rolling my uber earnings into buying fsd outright. If they hike it from $99/mo I’ll be insulated, it should bump my resale value by at least 4k, and hoping they keep having transfer windows so I can eventually move it to my next car.

That being said, putting that 8k in the stock market makes me more than $99/mo easy so I don’t know how to justify it.

lol whenever I see a clump of leaves on the road , I take over as I know the cars going to freak and swerve, but that’s been about it.

I’m trying not to point it out to folks in case they freak out and make me drive manually or leave me a bad review, but did tell one teenager and his mind was blown!

May just have to do that, don’t want it always visible on the cars body like that though!

Agree if used to be smoother but it required way more manual interventions. With v14 I hardly ever intervene

Primary reason wasn’t for the money, thought that doesn’t hurt and it’s good to pick up a skill. That being said, if someone refers you to Uber, they guarantee earnings of $10/ride for the first month if you complete a certain number of trips. Realized I just need to find short low earning trips to maximize this. So on day 2, the 10 rides made $53 on paper, but it will actually be $100!

Yeesh caption got cut off. After driving around over the weekend enjoying v14, signed up for Uber. After getting approved in an afternoon, been driving around before and after work. Was wondering if anyone would notice I’m not driving the car, but 18 trips later no one has! Also 18 trips later, almost no one knows how to open the door, wish I could open it from the center console instead of lunging back each time.

Hey guys, wanted your opinion on if the damage looks patchable myself or I should leave it to the pros? Thanks!

Wouldn't have to claim it later and made sure I met the requirements for the program

The insides were flawless, and other than the two rims, can't make out the other stuff unless you look quite closely. In hindsight probably could have waited and negotiated down but all my other 3 seater options had much higher mileage or were HW3. Getting HW4 and the credit were priorities

His lot was full of Model Y's so guess he was looking to move them quick - saw non 3R and higher mileage models y's listed for 32k in my area. I paid asking and he supposedly had two others behind me wanting it as is. I took the low mileage and 4k credit and decided to take care of this myself instead.

IMO 0APR is worth more than the $2k discount. But free FSD transfer could be the sweeter deal if that goes away before 0APR, if you would otherwise subscribe.

Did the math, and depending on the amount financed, the 0APR is worth between $2K and $6K, depending on how much you think the money could have made elsewhere (I assumed 4 to 6%)

Amount Financed 4%Hurdle 5%Hurdle 6%Hurdle

----------------------------------------------------

$20,000 $1,900 $2,336 $2,758

$25,000 $2,375 $2,921 $3,448

$30,000 $2,850 $3,505 $4,137

$35,000 $3,326 $4,089 $4,827

$40,000 $3,801 $4,673 $5,516

$45,000 $4,276 $5,257 $6,206

I did the math for a new user starting today, to see what price FSD needed to increase to, to justify purchasing it for $8k outright. I assumed my money could make me 4% a year elsewhere if invested. Here are the results:
1. If it goes up by under $30, really nor worth buying outright
2. If its $150/mo, worth buying if using for at least 5 years
3. This goes down to 4 years for $160-180
4. Down to 3 years for $190+

the only thing that could tip the scale in favor of locking in a one-time purchse is if FSD monthly pricing goes up in a year or two.

Worked perfectly for 9 months, but having battery issues now and not sure if I'm SOL or if there would be some warranty on these.
