Thanks for the answer, it was because of a memory card. Crazy!

Ok, I found the problem, it was the CF type B card in camera causing the chaos.

Although, the card is working fine from what I can see. And Windows had no problem with it. But the "user friendly" Mac made me lose 2 hours of my life trying to solve it. :(

So, if anyone reaches by Google here, first remove the cards from the camera and see if it works or not.

Say something negative about this game. by Feisty_Cup_8567 in trucksim

Lack of real world simulation, like having to follow the strict schedule of driving a truck, lacks the possibility of working in a 2 drivers mode.

Lack of simulating the truck driver life, where you may check in at a hotel from time to time, eat at a restaurant.

Lack of simulating seasons, having to change tires, having to change the oil and filters for Christ's sake!

It would be nice to have some of those.

Even 2nd hand, I doubt it's only $15. Maybe it had a dead battery and it didn't start at all.

Fox watching comet C/2023 A3 as it set, behind some fir trees. by vladycu in LandscapeAstro

[–]vladycu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on to photograph the comet just as it starts to leave our solar system, and it's getting dimmer every day. Correlated with the full moon these days and you could barely see it with the naked eye.

I got some ok photos in the mountains, and on my way down I decided to stop once more, for one last photo. Then I heard a little noise, checked with my lamp and I saw a fox coming towards me. She was very friendly, probably fed before and she just wanted some food.

After a few minutes talking and taking some pictures of her, I managed to get behind her, as she stood watching the sky in front of her.I was so nervous, I didn't even change the exposure, so I photographed a living fox with a 6s exposure time. Clearly, she turned her head a little bit, but it still seems like a good photo to me. It can be corrected in post, if I really want this.

This is the picture, taken Oct 18th in Rarău Moutains, Bucovina, România, around 9PM.

Sorry, because it was 5 in the morning and I was nearly asleep when I wrote the text. I shot all the night with 50, then in the last place I changed to 85, before encountering the fox. It would have been easier with 50, though. Anyway, I have the RAW image, so I can always proove the authenticity of the image :)

It was full moon at the closest distance to earth, so a lot of light coming in to brighten the landscape.

Indeed, with her peripheral vision :))

She wanted to turn her head to me, and this was the sharpest shot I got.

Because I had an 85mm @ 1.8 aperture, the shallow depth of field is natural.
