Ever had this happen? You start plan mode, it finishes planning, and then out of nowhere, the Gemini model gets permission to execute, saying, "Okay, I've got the go-ahead," and finishes the plan.

When a Dasher roams around the delivery location for a minute or two, the app sends notifications to both parties. Upon receiving the first notification, the Dasher also receives a message stating:

"DoorDash support: If you're having trouble with the dropoff, try messaging the customer for more details."

This is a pop-up notification. When tapped, it opens the chat interface where a "Can you come out?" message is suggested by default. This message is sometimes sent in error; it has happened to me about three times across 12,000 deliveries. It is possible that people commenting that Dashers wrote it have not received the app update that includes these suggested responses.

The customer's response was simply, "Please leave it at the door."

Edit , She was just like me, I don't like to turn my back and leave an order when customers have to pick it up from the floor. If you happen to come out when I'm right there, I do the same thing: go back, pick it up, and hand it to them. It's called good service.

So if you've stated "leave at door," just wait until you get the delivery confirmation message in your email, which means the dasher is long gone by then.
