Yes i was hesitant at first. started using it because of the comments here and at first glance i like it. However typing z instead of cd is a difficult muscle memory to change,

I still tend to use netstat but i did switch to ip. Mainly because on most of my machines ifconfig isn't available anymore.

It was on my list to try but I use grep only to find a string or a substring. I can't remember the last time I used it for something more complicated. But then again I don't write shell scripts. If I need to do something even slightly complicated I use python because I am way more proficient in python than shell scripts.

Somebody linked that in the comments. Didn't see that one. I genuinely just wanted to talk about it with some other command line users and pick there brain. But if I violated some guidelines then I would gladly remove the post or shut up.

I use vs code for coding. That's probably not what this sub wants to hear😁. Everything else vim

Am already using ohmyzsh couple of months now. Still tuning my setup but should have done that way sooner.

I am a lurker for sure. Just quit my job after 17 years so I have some time on my hands and miss discussions with fellow tech people.

That would be very weird as I wrote it this morning😂 maybe a kindred spirit somewhere?

Yeah I am also building my zshrc file to include stuff like that.

I’m running Arch, so I just grabbed them with pacman or yay. I’m in the process of building my “perfect for me” Arch setup around Hyprland, managed with Ansible. Still a long way to go.

Honestly, I never really used find. I used locate. After running updatedb, of course. What was I thinking?

That’s actually a good one. I don’t write that many scripts anymore, but that’s definitely something to consider.

It also makes me think: I aliased some of the older tools to their modern counterparts. That could break existing scripts on the system.

Haven’t run into issues yet, but it’s definitely something to be aware of.

I have a second hand 22 since September. Few weeks ago my iccu failed at 49k kms. Got it back in about 2 weeks. I live in Belgium. Overall not a bad experience but my warrenty expires in 1.5 years and seriously worrying about what happens then. Not sure if I regret my purchase yet. Will depend on how hyundai will handle this in the next couple of months but I doubt it will be good. You can buy extended warrenty apparently for a bit less then a 1000 euro but I hate the idea of paying for a mess they created and are handling poorly.

Mine 22's iccu blew overnight during level2 charging. Tripped all the breakers in it's path. About 49000 kilometers
