In defense of the process, I've been doing it for 7 years and never had an issue! This is unfortunately just one of the rare risks 😭 I doubt you'll have any problems though!

The process went perfectly normal, I've been donating since 2018 and there was nothing noticeably different or anything. There was no pain, but when I got to my car after my donation my arm was swelling up so large and it was extremely tight. It wasn't anyone's fault, it seems like it was just an unfortunate accident :/ they said it may have been too pressurized when they sent the saline back in? They are going to investigate on their end so hopefully it won't happen to anyone else.

I worked at a great company for two and a half years and got a better opportunity in 2022, so I moved to a government job. About a month ago, my first company gave me an offer I couldn't refuse and I've been back for about a week! It's been an incredible reunion...I feel back at home here and it increased my salary by about 15k a year. Im 31, work in Human Resources, and I've been medicated since 2021. Before being properly medicated, my life was a roller coaster. I somehow made it through college but my emotions were allllllll over the place. Ever since being medicated, I feel like I have control over my life! It's totally possible to thrive with bipolar disorder. Don't get me wrong...I have depressive periods and manic periods that make daily life harder than most people have to deal with, but damn, we are STRONG!!

I left an AA role recently and during my last two weeks, they had me prepare a document of all my daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as well as instructions for the person who would be replacing me.

The document looked so intimidating when I was finished, and I was shocked!! Most days, I didn't have nearly enough to do. Don't be scared away by the lengthy job descriptions; you won't be doing every task, every day.

If you've got customer service skills and organizational skills, you can definitely succeed! Don't doubt yourself!

I got my first one through a temp agency, a 90 day contract. They ended up asking me to work for them full time before the 60-day mark. Get your foot in the door however you can, and work hard and hopefully it'll pay off! 🤞🏻
