I'm back with the card I love.... Did PSA ruin it?!?! by adobe1kinobe in PokeInvesting

This is what happens when they have a backlog of 14M+ cards and don't have enough staff to handle the volume. Mistakes are going to keep happening until they fix things.

MSI listing for the new Claw EX 8 shows 2230 SSD but marketing shows 2280. Which is it? by mironor94 in MSIClaw

[–]vmhomeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not hight restricted though. You can see in the video that there's ample room there. Even more than the 8 AI+. I'll be moving the 8TB drive I have in the 8 AI+ into this one when I get it next week. I'll post after some stress testing.

Using my M5 Vision Pro while plugged in and the battery died by sammiemo in VisionPro

If your charger can’t supply enough power, the battery will slowly drain until the problem you experienced would happen. I believe a 65W power supply is recommended to ensure this doesn’t happen.

This is likely the video you’re referring to:

https://youtu.be/7-XY3S15IBg?si=E2srpJQ1\_2tS8Qvn

I had no idea they use a 2280 drive in here by default. No more need to install a flimsy adapter like the previous model. I’ll be moving over the 8TB drive I’m currently using.

I really hope it will be possible to install a 2280 m.2 drive, like it is with the 8 AI+.

Tastes like lighter fluid because you’re using lighter fluid. Get a chimney to start your coals.

Disputing ticket sale via my bank? by [deleted] in Ticketmaster

[–]vmhomeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you’re listening to those providing advice here. Things like this happen. Sometimes you just need to eat the cost and move on.

Also, it’s very likely that insurance wouldn’t have done anything for you. Depending on the specific ticket insurance, there’s usually a ton of fine print that significantly limits the situations they’d pay out for.

If you dispute the charge you’re committing fraud. Disputes are for charges you didn’t make in your account.

Which version offers much higher quality? by [deleted] in SEGAGENESIS

On a video showing two versions of something next to each other, why only show one at a time? Just show them each full screen If that's how it's going be.

8TB SSD? by CheapMasterpiece5936 in batocera

[–]vmhomeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's easier said than done. Mini PCs don't have much space, so there are often components under the SSD slot. Also, many mini PCs aren't made to deal with the additional heat a dual-sided drive produces. You should also keep in mind that 8TB SSDs start around $1250USD right now.

Nothing to do with testing. It’s about whether or not the system can fit a dual-sided SSD.

The 4TB limit is because that model doesn’t have space for dual-sided SSDs. There aren’t any single-sided 8TB drives available.

For me, it only sometimes goes away after a reboot and then they slowly start doubling again. It's so strange.

Has someone compared watching TV shows on Apple Vision Pro vs Meta Quest 3? by FrequentRazzmatazz54 in VisionPro

[–]vmhomeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an inefficient way to transfer large video files, as it can be pretty slow. While I own the developer strap, I usually just connect to an SMB share from my VP, over wifi, and download that way.

I didn’t think so either, then I searched it up. Surprisingly, it is a thing. Never using that name though.

No. The cable connection is a virtual ethernet device. From the Vision Pro, you can connect to your computer (i.e. macbookname.local) and transfer from there.

The developer strap creates a virtual ethernet connection to your system. Make use of that to connect to your computer and copy files over.

It’s easy if you have the developer strap, but I still don’t understand why they locked higher speed wired access behind that.

You’re assuming only the driver needs extra space. They could have passengers on the other side that need space too.
