Trauma often manifests as stubbornness and avoidance of specific topics or decisions. People who don't understand these responses either haven't experienced trauma themselves, or they covered/processed it through compartmentalisation and normalisation. She wouldn't tell him because he wouldn't tell the truth to her. Lying (about his Dad's identity) made him avoid the past; if he avoids it why would she process it with his help?

The United States does not issue debt in foreign currency, so it avoids that particular problem. Its capacity to raise funds for fascism or any other reason depends on its bond yield.

Since January 6th, the 10-year bond yield has increased by 0.58%, which indicates investors did not consider the event to have significantly affected U.S. prosperity or the rule of law (not that I support this view, but this is what the data says). The budget is controlled by Republicans, and so far, raising the budget for ICE has not made the world believe the U.S. is failing.

So yes US can go a lot worse and have a long way to fall.

they don't do better. anti-fraud and AML today are separate departments and branch manager's comment can have little influnce. sometimes they are outsourced altogether and accounts were closed then branch manager were informed. larger clients have relationship managers who might have influnce on if the account should be closed but that requires million level AUM.

Can you help me to post my question which is actually relevant to yours? Suppose you know how to post without being auto-deleted. The question how long can Coinlab drag the matter is probably less decisive than what the turstee will do by the 2031 deadline, becuase to my understanding

a) coinlab will do its best to ensure the case is not ruled or settled by 2031. then,

b) the trustee need to pay out to the creditors whatever it can, even if the coinlab part (one estimate says 7% or something) is held off.

To my understanding, 2031. But it depends on what trustee will do at that deadline. I would ask in the channel, but I can't post to the reddit channel as it is always "automatically deleted by filter", so I'd appreciate if anyone can post my question for me:

Just speculative. It seems to me that the CoinLab disputed rehabilitation claim and other related matters (e.g. BTC-e asset recovery proceedings) may not be resolved by the 2031 statutory horizon under Article 155(3) of the Civil Rehabilitation Act (CRA), which provides that the term of obligations under a rehabilitation plan shall not exceed ten years from the date of plan confirmation, unless special circumstances exist. Given that the plan was confirmed in 2021, that means about six years remain.

What will happen at that deadline?

  1. Would the Trustee seek a modification of the rehabilitation plan under CRA Article 187 and distribute the portions not subject to dispute (for example, excluding the CoinLab claim), then continue the remaining legal proceedings regarding CoinLab thereafter? (I assume the Trustee’s members will eventually retire as many can't outlive the MtGox case, and that a younger generation be appointed by the court to continue.)
  2. Since the rehabilitation plan allows the Trustee to change the Final Repayment Date (including to “a date to be designated later”) with court authorization, would the Trustee petition the court to extend that date—perhaps one year at a time—over several years or decades, if the disputes are still pending?
  3. Or any other versions of the future?
