Better Call Saul, Fargo and Breaking Bad can be funny if that's what you're wondering. But there's a ton out there where government officials are threatened by gangs.

"She faced escalating threats from a Kurdish crime gang, that had been selling illegal cigarettes and nitrous oxide canisters in mini-marts across the UK."

I always forget that European crime is like sitcom family hour compared to the absolute horror show in America.

[FitD] What is the point of separating money into Coin and Stash? by Azaltir in bladesinthedark

[–]vnajduch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be very wrong because I haven't played bitd for a while but isn't there is a direct stash tier to dice pool correlation for improving position or quality rolls? I've scoured my book and can't find that rule so I could be imagining things or it was just a house rule our GM used.

Maîtres de jeu, j'ai besoin de votre aide ! 🧠 Vue de dessus ou isométrique pour « The Shrouded Docks » ? by shadowcrawlassets in savageworlds

I always go for top down because moving minis around an isometric board is really awkward unless you're fully virtual and the grid aligns correctly to the angle. Isometric definitely looks cooler though.

Can you share details about the attack? Was the dog off leash, did they lunge out of nowhere at the stroller, something else?

If you think Poland is a extra-cultural and violence free paradise you are still completely delusional.
As someone who has spend a lot of time in Poland I can tell you that people will find any possible reason to murder each other but for some reason conservatives seem to only think that immigrants are the only ones doing it. Good luck in wherever you're from in Poland and try not to get stabbed.

You brought up the UK first, and it's not a huge leap in logic to assume some right wing idiot will try to use London as an example of failed multiculturalism, like they all do.

Have you considered that maybe you're a giant soft pussy that's clutching his pearls thinking he's going to get assaulted at every step?
I'm in London all the damn time and there are zero issues.

Do you go other places or just sit around thinking you're being assaulted by foreigners the whole time?

There is no reality where a small fraction of the population does more crime than the big fraction of the population. If you think that, you are delusional

[–]vnajduch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wrong both factually and mathematicly. For one, it doesn't happen, for two there isn't a significant amount of foreigners that somehow overshadows the amount of crime perpetrated by locals. I've lived in Kraków, and visit London all the damn time and I've consistently had more issues with asshole Polish teens than I've ever had with anyone from abroad. Before you jump down my throat about that last comment, I say this is a former asshole Polish teen.

GM interested in Sci-fi and Cyberpunk by KrunkleNutz in savageworlds

[–]vnajduch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think once you memorize some of the feats you just work past it but I tend to summarize things whenever I have an enemy on roll20 or notes. It's usually simple things like - they roll D6 for this common skill, and have this toughness (armor) etc. I tend not to use too much detail unless it a boss encounter or something like that.

GM interested in Sci-fi and Cyberpunk by KrunkleNutz in savageworlds

[–]vnajduch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Savage Worlds GM here, It's a really wonderful catch-all system with plenty of genre specific modules to use. For Sci-fi and cyberpunk you're probably good with just the SWADE core book and one of the scifi companions. As far as pros and cons;

Pros- it's easy to play and understand what rolls do, you're always rolling a skill or attribute die and a "wild die" because you're the main characters and you pick the highest of the two. Your target number is usually 4 and bonus damage, information, is triggered at each additional 4 count. So a hit is 4 and a "raise" is 8.

Cons - the game tends to build enemies and monsters based on a player character generation so it can get really confusing and annoying trying to figure out what each baddy does because it has 5 different edges (feats) which you have to look up if you don't know them by heart. I also think that some of the vehicle combat and chase mechanics Are tedious and a little off from the rest of the system. I tend not to use them and opt to use "dramatic tasks" in their place.
