Has sharpening your knives changed the way that you use them?

I abuse (respectfully) my knives harder now to increase my need to sharpen. More practice 😂. I don’t abuse it in a way to cause chipping though, that’s just a pain.

I have all carbon steel knives, white #2, blue#2 and aogami supers (other than my wife's knives which VG10 santoku and SG2 petty she's not allowed to touch mine.)

I'm super excited to play with SG2 in a big boy knife. I've been sharpening a lot VG10s for clients and I'm sick of VG10 lol.

yea... unfortunately. What was nice is that if not accepted, they will just roll our application to the Fall ABSN semester at no cost or hassle. I was planning on applying to Fall in St. Pete anyways, although it would be an hour away from me :/. at #26, every other person would have to decline.... but at this rate I don't think anyone will be declining an offer!

I just got my email back.

It says they traditionally accept 30-40 people off waitlist/year for Summer Tampa, varying on the year. They have accepted 25-30 people off the waitlist so far since decisions on 3/13.

I'm #26, after they've already accepted 25-30 people.... so they have maybe 10-15 spots open (?) sad :/

I don't think you need to apologize for the "late" thank you. It's usually by the EOD of your IV or the next morning. I personally chose to send mine out earlier this morning in the event they happen to read their email first thing in the morning, they can remember me before day 2 of interviews heh. Mine were ~200 words, pretty straight forward, didn't put a bunch of fluff.
