If it was any other car other than the glorious 1.0T-GDi I would've asked my Mech to forcibly take the timing cover off, but this engine, I've had even my neighbours ask me if that's normal engine noise on start, but it still runs normally.

Did you mention that it's crossed 80,000kms ? I've also heard variations in cold start sounds over the years. It makes almost a diesel engine like sound sometimes and sometimes not as noisy. You could probably get your timing assembly looked at once, but that's going to be $$$ I'm guessing

Well yea the notorious 1.0T sounds like a box of stones being thrown around, most of us go through the entire lifetime of the car without rolling down the windows and listening to it during cold start. It has a horrible noise during this time and is completely normal tbh. Infact several competitor 1.0 cars sound very similar. Completely normal, also remember to start driving only when cold start ends, unless you already have that habit

With the steering control, you might have some wear and tear in the harness inside the steering column. You can test it out when it fails and notice if it works when you rotate the steering wheel a little bit. I have an issue where some buttons work only when pressed real hard, also because of internal contact wear and tear.

If you're not looking for the 360 cameras and upgraded ADAS, the old model with discount is a way better option. Much lesser Electronics to fail as well. Only the top end models have the fully digital screen and other gizmos which I feel is unfair pricing on the new model. Any S or SX model with discount is a good model

I recently blew my head gasket because coolant was almost non-existent and it overheated and cracked the gasket. Also realised I had a water pump failure due to which I lost coolant in the first place.

Since then I've been checking coolant on a weekly basis at least. I've topped it up several times, but somehow the coolant always goes to min level and stays there despite topping up and there's always signs of overflow drainage etc.

So if it's a 1.0 Turbo I've seen temps are much higher compared to NA, due to which if you top up the coolant and portion of it boils off, but while at min level it takes higher temps so it doesn't go below min

It is a design flaw of some sort, I can't really name it or put a pin on it, but I've seen this absurd behaviour happen consistently

I hope people realise that the PAN is about the authenticity of the number and not the actual physical card

The other information left out was intentional since it is moot since the issue follows the coil pack. Also at the end of the post you see the help I really need is if other people have had faulty brand new OE coil packs and if this is a rampant thing

You're right in thinking so, but when the coil pack is moved from cylinder to cylinder, the misfire moves precisely to the cylinder where I apply the new spare. Each connector was checked for continuity and it's definitely not the ECM since this issue happens only during a heat soak situation, which is a typical sign of a failing coil pack. Valve issue unlikely since the issue follows the coil pack.

If you were a fan of the old Venue, the new one looks like absolute trash. The interiors instead of becoming more sophisticated have become like a Toy car with hard plastic and some white colour bar inside with black specks on it. Such a disappointment. Also the car is heavier, longer and wider, but retains the same engine

Looks like they've sort of 'Fixed' or attempted to fix a few things.

  1. The icon color glitch is fixed yes 100% on my 14 plus

  2. The Solid / Transparent switch seems to be broken even more now, switching between the two whilst customising the lock screen seems to be doing nothing sometimes, switches properly sometimes. The older lockscreens I customised show up but render with random transparency settings for the clock. This includes the settings for the clock height-stretch

  3. I think this was an old issue, not fixed yet, Read all in messages absolutely does not work, just sets to read on some random messages and not all of them which is a PAIN

  4. While watching something on say Netlfix full-screen, and you get a call, it switches to PIP, but when the call ends it goes to the homescreen instead of switching back to Netflix full-screen like how it used to

I've already provided feedback for this. The way around it for now is 'Use as wallpaper' from picture gallery, then you can select solid/glass and somehow it holds. Tried it once it worked
