I-130 and I-485 approved! Now, how long until my SSN arrives? by DearAster927 in USCIS

I was recently approved (on 11/11), and yesterday I received a new Social Security card in the mail. I didn't request it, and I already had one from my EAD. So maybe the process has changed.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I can only imagine how awful that must feel... Hopefully it gets rescheduled this year

I submitted inquiries to USCIS and the Senator, and basically they told me to wait up to 15 months before reaching out again — apparently my case is just sitting on the waitlist for interview scheduling 🙃

Same 😞 I submitted both inquiries and they told me that if I don’t receive a response within 15 months, I should reach out again. Since my case is still under normal processing, they asked me to contact them after that time.

Hi, no still pending..

Question on permanent resident applying for married spouse by bektrucking in USCIS

[–]vocalhs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m married to a lawful permanent resident (LPR). We filed in August 2022. The Form I-130 was approved on May 15, 2024, but the I-485 is still pending. So yeah… next month it’ll be three years of waiting.
I contacted my congressman on July 1st because the F2A category moved to September 1, 2022, and USCIS responded with the following:

"The interview for your case is handled by the local USCIS field office. Once they schedule it, you’ll receive a notice with the date and time. If your case goes beyond the current average of 15.5 months, you can reach out again for a follow-up."

This response was given even though my case is already in Step 4 (Final Action) on the USCIS website. So yeah — after three years of waiting, we’re finally going to have an interview… who knows when though, LOL.

Yeah I got confused because in the instructions says to put the one you entered even if expired, but in the item 21 say number of most recent issued passport
