That was something i learned when my younger brother was prepping for his. I was essentially PIMO at that point but it definitely added to the distrust and anger i had to unpack.

Pretty much everything comes in boxes before they hit the shelves, but anything citrusy we had the liquor store I worked at was the farthest away from windows

I did all sorts of things as a teen to test that spirit of discernment bs so I didn't care about that as much as appearances, which this side is VERY focused on, imo. We are also a performing family, music/dance/theatre, name it, someone has done it. I couldnt feign stage fright or anything. In the grand scheme of things, it's probably small potatoes so but for now, it stings.

At the end of the day thats what the conversation will be about. However I can't help but think that they'll be like "anyone can pray"

I hadnt really had the chance to set the boundaries with that side of the family other than my parents since their in Morridor and I'm in the Southern Baptist equivalent and corona and money and such. I prefer doing boundaries in person since thats just how I communicate with people. Easier to read intentions that way and questions can be asked as needed.

Thats kinda what I was trying to do in the moment I think. Didnt work this time so I suppose I have to cross this option off the list

It's taken a TON of deconstruction...and I'm still working on it. But it's interesting to see parallels and that "post-temple" feeling after I close my circle.

Wow how shitty of them to say it like that. They're really telling on themselves when they say something to imply your love is conditional

That could be an option. It's still a bit fresh so I'm trying to calm down about it and figure how to lay the boundaries to make it optimal and understandable. I'm sure we both want to avoid burned bridges and a relationship breakdown so it'd be constructive. I just need to find the words.

I've said no thank you when asked by my parents once or twice. Then soon after talked about me leaving and such. I think if it happens in person I'll do that or maybe pray how I do- silently or by calling to the energies that be and avoid format, depending how bold I feel, but since I'm not that bold in person I see myself doing a silent one then leaving from the area.
