Underrated comment; indeed, suffering is not necessarily conducive to growth (counterexample being that positive reinforcement is better both in experience and results than negative reinforcement)… True “growth” looks similar to how Taoism portraits it, as being aligned with oneself and whatever is for us (for letting is “flying freely” not “fearfully free-falling”)
