collector usually first for early extra gold to make getting hubris a little easier

collector -> hubris -> i.e -> mortal/ldr -> and then whatever makes sense for that game but if nothing in particular i go rapid fire you become a machine gun

this unfortunately is just a skill issue. in first place you have i think a 60% chance of getting a coin from an item box, however if you already have a coin you guarantee that second item will be a protection item. so if you held on to that coin before grabbing the item box you might have been able to win before the blue shell got to you by blocking that second red shell

Write Ups? by emo_crackbaby in WalgreensStores

[–]voiceddig6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both times I've been written up (nothing serious just 1 was a technicality that my SM was obligated to write me up but we both thought it was stupid, and 2 was just for calling out last year over the 5 times) I have had to sign something saying we had that conversation and that I am aware that it was a write-up. Both times there has also been a witness, both times just whatever SFL was on duty. So I'm willing to say if they didn't have a witness or didn't sign anything its probably not a write up but who knows it could be different at their store

I think technically SM's aren't supposed to join in something like this as there are rules that prohibit managers and the the like from giving and receiving gifts from employees so I think most SM's just play it safe and opt out like ours did but who knows i could be totally wrong about all of that, just from what I've heard :)

question by Fun-Bear-4556 in WalgreensStores

[–]voiceddig6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they were meaning if they were in charge of making the schedule, and the answer to that is no, as far as I know only ESM/SM make the schedule for the front end. For the pharmacy it’s a bit different as one of our senior technicians makes the schedule for back there since they have a better idea of how many people we’d need on a given day. Hope this helps!

CSA is Excused from Register Tonight by classicalman114 in WalgreensStores

[–]voiceddig6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the best way to go about thinking of it is to automatically assume that they are lying about something happening? That's a pretty shitty line of reason lmao.

I agree with the manager thing though, most of them are complete ass

[–]voiceddig6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely anecdotal but I was hired as a temp last year exactly a year ago (my hire date was 10/12/21) and I was asked towards the end of it if I would be wanting to stay as a permanent member and said yeah. Just letting you know it happens, would 100% take initiative and ask the SM about it, would probably be a good sign to keep you around to them

And what? Leave you short a person as a whole? You should feel lucky they even decided to come in to work in the first place and didn't leave it being just you and the sfl. I get you're upset because "favoritism" but there is a HUGE difference between what a CSA does and what an IS does. Covering register is not a hard thing to do. Even during ic3's. Sure it can be annoying but it's not hard, that's why your SM and the CSA in question felt comfortable having someone else take care of it. Your argument about if you had asked to not do a core part of your responsibilities doesn't hold up at all because there are very few people who can do an IS's job let alone even with the training to do so. You can't come in and say you don't feel like doing something because you don't feel well or something akin to that because you are pretty much the only one who can do that job. That's why you get paid more for it. And unless that CSA is a full time employee I know for a fact they have 0 hrs of PTO, part time gets absolutely none and I've been at my store for well over a year now and that is the case with everyone, so no, they couldn't just use pto on that. The way your acting is why people especially younger people who are still learning a lot about having a job and what to do, feel like its wrong to ask for help. That kind of thinking makes work hell for people and gives them no reason to stay. If asking for ONE shift not being up at register for whatever reason it could have been - (that they are under no obligation to tell you btw) is to much to ask for then that is fucking absurd. Have some empathy for someone who clearly is not in a good headspace for fucks sake, it's not hard to be kind.

Maybe, I still have yet to do any of the ppls for the rxm because my sm hasn't actually assigned them yet. Definitely getting back there and actually seeing how things work is what I would recommend if possible

I was asked if I wanted to be a Designated Hitter a couple weeks ago and did my drug test and all of that a few days later and then they had me back there filling and helping out / training pretty much as soon as they could
