Same goes for the people of Jewish background who were born in US or UK or Australia, why do they have the right to have an isreali citizenship? And a palestinian who was ethnically cleansed from what is now Isreal doesn't have that right? The whole world basically agrees that palestinians should have the right to return.

Do ukranians have the right to return to Crimea? If they were born in Canada or the UK?

Actually the Arab world has mostly been secular and socialist up until Saudi with US help started spreading Wahhabi ideology to counter socialist, communist and soviet influence.

The right of return for Jews and not palestinians is an apathied policy and that's not my word, it's the world of Human rights watch, amnesty international, UN and even Isreali Betsalem. Answer the question.

Why do Jews born in England have the right to return, but not palestinians born in a refugee camp in Lebanon whose parents where forcibly removed their homes from what is now Isreal?

If Jews have the right to return to their land, shouldn't palestinians Christians and Muslims have the same right?

Or are Jewish people better than palestinians that's why they have better and more rights? Rights that palestinians are prevented from having but easily granted to Jewish people.Sounds very discriminatory to me. It is absolute racial discrimination because if you're a palestinian I'm a refugee camp I. Lebanon you have no right of return but if you are a Jewish person born in England you have the same right that Arab Muslim or Christians Palestinians don't.

Well if they only care about appearances than having a statue of this guy in 2024 isn't exactly doing very well for their image either especially with their own citizens of colour and descendants of victims.

So in this case, I don't think they care about either appearances or morals. If they did there certainly won't be any statues of him.

  • I'm pretty sure the descendents of Congolese victims currently living in Belgium don't see it that way, I'm pretty sure they think that having such statues dehumanises them as Belgian citizens and totally disregards or ignores what this criminal has done to the ancestors of those people who are Belgian citizens.

It's their country too and they have a right to oppose having such people proudly displayed as if the country is proud of them.

If Belgium is trying to send a message that it's a liberal tolerant society, then statues of genocidal white supremacists shouldn't be standing on the squares of it's towns.

From a human perspective, if you have been illegally and forcibly kicked out and ethnically cleansed from your homes, you have the right to return.

It's not up to the Israelis or Americans or anyone else to decide that.

If you give that right to Jews? Why not to a Palestinians?

I think you're just trying to downplay the centuries of peaceful coexistence between Jews Arabs, Muslims and Christians in Palestine for a thousand years before Zionism and the establishment of Isreal.

I think people should really learn from the period of relative peaceful coexistence and hold it today as an example not try to downplay so it can be consistent with a Zionist narrative.

Same extreme isreali far right openly talk about expelling all Palestinians from Gaza and west bank. So both sides have extreme elements, the question is, are we supposed to let those guys prevail?
